      @@RB1987 There are private enforcers that go around pretending to be from official channels (police, the council etc.) that have no authority to stop you and demand your details.
      There's essentially a bounty on litter where they can issue fines, but have no powers of arrest. Unless it was an actual Officer of the Law and not some burke with a badge and a hi-vis jacket on, you and your fiancé were basically scammed out of £300
      What's especially fishy is that you were both fined, rather than just the offender. That screams _'I've found some gullible people that respect the authority of my hi-vis jacket, and don't know that I'm a scumbag that's pocketing most of the money I'm demanding'_

    • @SaltyAsTheSea
      @SaltyAsTheSea 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jessiepaulin675 there's no way to make a living like that currently. No funding in this shit. It was only trendy but going green only brings so much more investment because it's a safe image, but that's all it is, an image. It's an appearance. I go out to a beach and pick up trash everytime I'm there but dude I'd be hauling ass out there everyday if someone payed me, but alas there is no such position. There's money in finding a better way to recycle if it cuts expenses for the places that process trash and recyclables, but that requires... well research and discovery. It's not so feasible to just "go help like you should." Matter of fact, the system we built isn't sustainable. It requires a shakedown head to toe, and we need to decide as a SPECIES what our ultimate goal here is now, we've nearly reached that point. It sounds like a movie but that's basically our reality at this point, but everyone is so preoccupied (especially company heads, plus others...extrapolate a bit here) with making money and providing a good life for themselves and families... it just doesn't.. matter. And governments protect what's theirs, and are too untrustworthy to ever let guards down for open discussion. And why would they? Humans are nefarious, just look at how China is being run and tell me how we integrate into working together? The people of all our nations barely get along together, it's gonna be a lot harder to work together to clean the earth, much less LEAVE the place. Seems like this whole thing is one "tangled buds" case and no matter where you start pulling, you start causing more problems. Making it through this shit is gonna take sacrifice for everyone. Some people more than others. But it's not "fair" and people are going to be emotional as they damn near should. This problem started long ago and the end is nowhere in sight. So tell me please what the hell I should be doing and WHY? I need to make a living because I wasn't taught how to bend nature to my will, but besides if everyone did we'd have probably fucked the environment that way too. Shit son, it almost feels like this was inevitable, huh. Gamer rant over, don't even blame you, but homie we're gonna need suggestions, philosophical debates, or something other than what the fuck you just commented 😂. Please. Have a good day tho but u probs won't read this bc youtube doesn't like me responding anymore, decides to un-@ people/ not notify them. Shit, for all I know I'm shadow banned and nobody will read this. . I can't even deny that possibility. Sucks. But fr genuinely hope u feel good so you can do good. World needs it rn.

At the current rate of overfishing, and the current rate of accumulation of plastics in the ocean, by 2050 it is estimated that there will be more plastic than fish by mass in the ocean.

    Considering it looks like that area is dry until the floods, you need to dig down deeper reinforce the ground with concrete, in a wedge shape to help drive the trash upwards, plus a means to skim the scum off the top to let the water past. You might want to look at the lock system in the Rideau canal in Canada, as it deals with yearly flooding in a similar situation. You may be able to use the trash to shore up the sides.

Most don’t even have paved roads. Instead they dump their trash and it gets carried away by the rivers. If we found a way to decrease poverty in these areas than they could implement stuff like proper waste management. How do we do that, I do not know the answer to that. All I know is that “chargin” countries already in poverty will NOT solve the issue. As far as what we can do, I still am working to figure it out. You need a series of things that each catch _some_ trash, not one thing that catches _all_ the trash.

    Plastic recycling involves collecting, sorting, and processing plastic waste to create new products. The benefits are substantial. Firstly, it reduces the environmental impact by conserving resources and decreasing landfill waste. Recycling also saves energy compared to making plastic from raw materials. Additionally, it lowers greenhouse gas emissions. Economically, recycling generates jobs in the recycling industry. Moreover, it can reduce the cost of manufacturing goods, as recycled plastic is often cheaper than virgin materials. Lastly, recycling promotes sustainability and minimizes the harmful effects of plastic pollution on wildlife and ecosystems, making it crucial for a more sustainable future.
