The old Gixxer was mascular enough for 2014 . It looked more proportional too. The new Gixxer 150 looks disproportionate. But this 250 with beefier tyres looks good.
Actually, suzuki understands indian market better than its rivals. In case of KTM, it's all out performance and premium quality, so let's keep them aside. The actual contenders in the 250 segment are Yamaha FZ 25, dominar 250 and Gixxer 250. Suzuki have studied the Indian market well and knows what we want. We want a bike, that has wide tyres, big displacement, sporty look, led lamps, low maintenance and good fuel economy also. To pack it all in a single bike, there are nothing like this model. Yamaha FZ 25 has a good look, wide tyres, low maintenance, led lamps, but lacks a 6th gear and power. 200cc bikes out perform it in power and torque. In that case, 26 bhp and 22.6 nm of torque is just the perfect amount that is needed, that we have seen the similar power figures in the legendary honda cbr 250r. the fully enclosed engine looks like liquid cooled, but it is oil cooled, that is cheaper to maintain. The bike is lightweight also, while the dominar is 187 kg that holds back the superior engine in terms of performance. In my opinion, this 250 gixer is a well suited option for Indian buyers. I wish, suzuki will put this wonderful engine into their baby cruiser, intruder, to revive it. Also, shedding some of the plastic bodywork, pricing it aggressively would surely make it a best in class cruiser, that the avenger has ruled for a long time.
Suzuki India should launch adventure tourer version of the same engine with ground clearance of 200+mm , good rider and pillion comfort for long ride, switchable rear ABS, Bluetooth connectivity console ,raised handlebar, and a tall windshield, long travel suspension. Will be more suited for longer rides in low budget.
I have gixxer 250, top speed is 153 but with shell petrol. I did pune to bangalore 800kms in 12 hrs. Good bike but after sales is not good spl for high segment bikes.
Gixxer is lighter, more powerful but more expensive. I think if you are coming from a 125-150cc bike then RTR200 won't provide enough upgrade. For first bike RTR200 is great for the price.
Bhai mere.. As a owner of Gixxer 250 bs6, there are vibrations on the handlebar n between 4.5k - 5k rpm. After 120kmph the bike loses its handling character. Kuch toh sach bol de yaar..

@@syedrushaan4670 ok coming to ur point, even if dominor makes more power. It's weight makes it laggy. Gixxer has upper hand in terms of pwer to weight ratio. I agree to the ktm duke 250. But, huskys looks like upgraded honda navi.

Suzuki made a huge mistake to made 155 and 250 series exactly same inside outside except CC. So as a customer why should I go for 250 if not getting extra style or features. Bigger CC power is not 1st priority for everyone. For extra 80k there is only 95CC and rear ABS you get.
Dude that was commendable, how did u make such a cool bike look shit is my question, well and slipper clutch, led, at this price point it's fabulous even without them, next time don't call out Suzuki for bulshit reasons, it's not like u can't live without led indicators

Gixxer gives more mileage and it is more agile than dominor. Also, dominor has thin suspension and tyres. Also, dominor 250 has low ground clearance. Dominor only shines in highways. Gixxer is jack of all trades. Duke is better than both of these, but pricy.

I also has a suzuki 125 which is 14 years old and recently got it's piston replaced but still it runs smooth than my Classic 500.

Gixxer is lighter, more powerful but more expensive.
I think if you are coming from a 125-150cc bike then RTR200 won't provide enough upgrade.
For first bike RTR200 is great for the price.

The SF 150 looks about the same as the 250 from many angles. But the naked 250 is quite distinguishable from the 150.
