- I really enjoyed this footage of our performance of Dazed And Confused in the style of 1973-era Zeppelin. This footage was shot by our good friend, Sherry Anderson.
Let's remember that Jimmy Page, himself, endorses this man, and he is even a fan. They're friends. Isn't that great?

Jimmy Page went and saw this guy preform in Japan. There’s a video of it somewhere on here. Pretty cool to see. That must have been the thrill of a lifetime to play for your idol. Jimmy was impressed as all hell in this guy for remembering every little piece.

Professor Time If you're gonna do a full Zep tribute, this is it. Not silly, not comical. These musicians are first excellent musicians outright , and they apply it brilliantly. Also, they're playing licks which are not absolutely note for note, but again, this is REALLY ARTISTIC. NO ear fatigue, this
does sometimes happen with less capable tributes.

Thanks, Brandon! You know he's not EXACTLY where he wants to be, because he's still doing primarily studio versions of the songs with Jason. But it's awesome to see his skill, devotion, and overall approach being appreciated on the stages he's getting to play! That's what I'm talking about! There are a ton of amazing players out there playing Zeppelin with justice, but Sakurai is the total and complete package! I love getting to play drums with him to the music of Zeppelin!
I was in another room and this was playing, I came over to watch it and was amazed to know it wasn't Jimmy... This guy nailed it!
and of course it is Jimmy Sakurai!! Never saw these guys but is a must in my concert list! That said, went to see JBLZE 2 weekends ago and lo and behold it was Sakurai on guitar ... OMG.... the concert was over the top! Check them out if they are coming to your city JBLZE, they just got started.
Wow speechless on how well they did this. A lot of hard work to figure out the different fills of this version. A lot of practicing. Wow
It was definitely a labor of love, but it did require a lot of hours of listening to bootlegs and TSRTS. Jimmy Sakurai is great at keeping things moving along in all the right ways though.
Amazing, all the parts are just perfect, unbelievable execution from the best Jimmy page solos in my opinion, Just great all round.

Um, I just have to say that, led Zeppelin has actually changed my whole life and guitar playing as a whole and like, watching your performances has brought a tear to my eye, and I just wanna say thank you for doing this tribute and giving people a chance to experience zep live as closely as possible.

It's weird, I have followed Zepp from 1969 when I was 9 and seen them live over the years as Zepp and solo acts, but they have the live Zeppelin down so well that it's like watching it again for the first time because it's a new current twist on an old idea that keeps it fresh and reborn, it has a life of it's own now. I love that they only play live versions of the material and extended solos and they are spot on from the bootlegs on any era of Zepp. So now I find myself at times watching the newer live versions over the original Zepp versions because I have seen and heard them so many times, and then I go back and it's cool to be able to switch back and forth. I hope that makes sense. Well done and add keep adding your own ideas to the mix to keep it fresh.

Makes perfect sense, and we are alike in this. Same thing I'm doing now. Been playing guitar for 38 years, and most of those I was elected to lead vocal by default. So I have to give the singer compliments too. Most people never realize how difficult it can be to nail vocals repeatedly over and over and over and.... It AIN'T easy! Robert Plant's voice is not exactly common run-of-the-mill

Shows you how great Page really was to compose all this, he didn't just play it note for note like the studio versions. People call that sloppy, no, it's genius

What's most amazing about the talent of this man is that he is mimicking a show that was recorded over the span of 6 nights at Madison Square Garden. If you're a fan of Zep, you know the story behind the stage footage from Song Remains the Same. It's a mash-up of those 6 nights. Half of the things you see on stage aren't even the song that is being played. It's over-dubbed, cut scenes and all kinds of mish-mash. So watching this, for the first time you are actualy able to see Page in his glory, playing, dancing around and his on-stage antics while he's playing the actual song... even though this is not Jimmy Page. That's how talented this guy is. Give credit where it's due... he's playing the entire concert, for which most of it is complete improvisation on every section. He's giving you what may very well be the only real live look at what that show should have looked and sounded like from 1973. Thank you! It is truly a work of art!
I could not agree with you more! I'm fortunate to play drums in Jimmy's band, and it is an absolute blast to get to explore Zeppelin's music with him. That 'edge of insanity' effect of what a Zeppelin concert could capture is always there in Sakurai's playing and performance. I'm very proud of the music we get to play together!

around 14 minutes in i realised this band took it the highest level,I've seen most zep covers but these guys go all in, loved it .I've been listening to zep bootlegs all week they definitely have the 73 version down.

Sherry Anderson! Good person there I know her. We talk regularly. I spoken with Jimmy "Akio" Sakurai a few times as well as seen him live with Jason Bonham. I'm really happy he moved on from led zepagain. I never liked Swan "the singer" I hope to see him live one day with his own band Mr Jimmy.
This all just goes to show you that 50 to 100 years from now nobody will care about the K-Poppers or any other division of "music" with regards to any sort of historical interpretation, but people will still remember bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, etc., the classic (think Beethoven, Bach, etc.) end of musical interpretation that I certainly don't mind. Long Live Rock 'n Roll!!!
This guy plays Jimmy like nobody I've ever heard because Jimmy is basically sloppy in a good way and this guy can do it to the T it amazes me! I saw them when I went to see Peter Frampton and he played in the band with Jason Bonham they were great!

Well, being respectful, Jimmy Page did it first. This guy definitely did it justice. Jimmy Page every bit was capable of duplicating anything he previously did. How do I know that? Well, because he was also a very great studio musician, and those guys are no joke. Jimmy Page could also play jazz or just about anything anyone asked him to play. He a smart hippie. With that said, I love Mr. Jimmy's guitar playing. He's an absolute genius and the closest one I've seen to Jimmy Page to date.
