Orange power bait works good in the lakes out in wasilla, make sure you are in a good location, 30-40 yards away from shore, around 8-10ft deep, the big ones will swim back and forth in those channels and they will hit your bait if they pass by close enough

Also the small baby raw shrimps also works good. The bigger trouts and dolley vardens goes for them. If not just use the regular trout bait, still works good. But the the big ones won’t hit them as much

Just becareful don’t set your drag too tight. As the big ones will break the lines just like that. Some will pull like a silver or red salmon and if your line is too tight, the line will break. Sometimes you’ll catch pikes and burbot also if your out in Wasilla

Use works and the hook with Salmon eggs but rooster tails for artificial bait they work good ..

Any short pole but you want to add heavier test line after a few times so you want a real that you can change line ..
