You sure would think that considering how hilly it is over there. The Ohio HP is a bit of a geological anomaly The Bellefontaine Outlier definitely lives up to the name.
I got this one last May, when I was on a theme park road trip, as well, and I was on my way from kings island, down by Cincinnati, up to cedar point in Sandusky.
Both my intro and outro music come from the great Kevin Macleod, the guy who has scored a ton of videos across the internet (incompetech.) Also thumbs up for Drunk History! Thanks for watching!
I live in Belmont County Ohio which has some of the steepest Hills in the state. The highest point we have in our county is 1397 feet above sea level. We are in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Campbell Hill looks like it's relatively flat compared to us. But Mother Nature has a way of deceiving us!
@@RooftopsofAmerica There are 2 tour caves in the hills of Eastern Logan County: Ohio Caverns and Zane Caverns. The Piatt Castles are also interesting.
I found out about that after I filmed the episode when it was pointed out by one of my highpointing colleagues who lives in Logan County, hence the apology in the episode description. Regardless, I hope you enjoyed the episode! Cheers!
Terrific
Thank you!
Just the video I was looking for ❗️
The fact that Ohio's highpoint is not in the far east of the state near Pennsylvania is pretty shocking to me.

Excellent video. Thank you for your research.
Thank you!
Man, your intro music sounds like it was lifted from the “Drunk History “ series. I love that and this channel. Thanks for taking the time to do this!

Given the Air Force Station is closed, any idea why the radar antenna is still rotating? Is is used by the school?
It's a static display with a few other relics from the time up there the school maintains.
Very informative video, thanks for uploading :)
Thanks for checking it out! It's been a fun series to create.
I’ve been a geography buff since primary school, so watching a video about a marker like this is really cool.
Thanks for watching! Learning the geography and geology of these places has been one of my favorite things about doing this series.
Great video with lots of good info.
Thanks! It's not the most glamorous of highpoints, but it does have an interesting history.
Such a cool idea! Definitely will be going back and checking out all your videos! Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks for watching! It is my favorite project to date.
Very informative! Never thought that the flattest area of the state would also host the highest point.
Thanks! The geology aspect of the highpoints has become one of my favorite things to research.

Clingmans Dome (Tennessee) is hopefully on the bucket list
The Tennesse episode is going to be pretty extensive since I hang my hat there these days.
No view from the highpoint?
There is a view of sorts but you've probably seen better!
Did you visit any of the Caverns near Bellefontaine?
Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity when I filmed this. The next time I get up there I want to spend a bit more time exploring the area.

@@ohioalphornmusicalsawman2474 Looking back at this episode I would have liked to have another day up there to film.
So, Campbell Hill is at a higher elevation then the Nephilim Mounds?
Wrong saying if the name

It's pronounced Belle Fountain.
