- The ODST Drop Pod has got to be my favorite "vehicle" from all of Halo! I am so glad Jazwares decided to make this set and what it could mean for the future of the line!

@@RustbeltCollector Can these Halo figures stand well for play? I had Halo figures similar to this in the past (different brand but looks similar (high quality)) and they were absolutely garbage! Though Jazwares seems to be a strong company with all of their awards compared to whatever brand it was I bought from. BTW is Jazwares new to Halo? Or do you know when it started?
I just got mine today from eBay. I paid about $30 after shipping. This thing is worth it. I wish when I wear my 3D printed ODST armor I could get as much articulation as this figure has 😅
Would be cool if Jazware make a ODST army builder based on the Ark Mission. Four ODST troopers with different weapons, and one with a red stripe on the helmet.

Kinda hoping we get more reach figures such as noble team and maybe even marines. Would be nice to have a reach display

I think the smg is on par and the right size. It's just previous halo actionfigures made the s-smg alot smaller.
Great review, ordered one right away, huge ODST fan and didn't get the original figures when they came out but who doesnt love ODSTs? I think this is a great value for the price! Thanks again 👍

I already got a single one of these, and then four more on their way. Going to look very nice with my briefing room / launch room diorama. For the life of me I could not figure out how to make the door pop off, it never occurred that I just needed to slam it on something.

For sure! Jazwares has a good price/quality trade-off! I’ve been happy to get figures for $10 in 2022!
Not sure how mine made it through QC lol, stress marks on the drop pod and the figure just has paint apps off center like on the helmet. Still a great idea for a set so I had to order another lol, here's hoping for a good one! Great review man

I grabbed two of these. A few more eventually. I remember playing ODST, I was running around the area, waiting for a weapon drop, then "splat", they dropped the cache right on top of me! Lol
Can we get a Pelican, Scorpion tank, a Banshee & maybe a Covenant dropship already? They're such iconic Halo vehicles! How do we not have them by now. How about Warthog variants? Like the one with the Gause cannon, I think there was one with a rocket launcher too.
Oh yeah, this set hits right in the nostalgia for ODST!
Hopefully we will get more vehicles from WOH, but some of the larger ones, like the Pelican, would just be impossible to make. They would be the size of a coffee table and cost waaaaay too much for the average collector :/

Awesome review! I was hoping you would have one for this! I'm waiting on mine to ship and super excited. I love jazwares value but not their distribution lol if this were made by hasbro it would probably be 40 bucks.

@@RustbeltCollector I just got mine in the mail today and this thing is so awesome! Part of me would have wanted the chute, but after seeing how it was implemented with the mcfarlane one I seriously doubt I would have used it. Ever since playing halo 2 the ODST's have been one of my favorite parts of halo.

Just got mine today. When I saw it I was so excited. I love odst troopers. I actually like them more than Spartans, so excited to get one even if it is a named character
that is so great to hear! I’m really glad they made this as well, and I hope we get plenty of repaints! With it hitting store shelves this month, I hope a lot more people are able to get their hands on it and enjoy it!
@@RustbeltCollector personally I want them to remake that one badass all black one with white marking from the halo 3 figure line. I think his visor had a redish tint to it, and he came with a battle rifle. I remember he was in one of the ark missions, the one where chief and a groups of odsts get dropped by a pelican and you start with a sniper rifle.
Have one one the way gonna order 3-4 more next week gotta get that odst army build up 👀
I bought this but the mechanic where the door blasts off does not work. Gonna open it up to see what can be done.
The og mega bloks drop pod was so good I had a few lost them in a house fire but wish I could get my hands on them over anything else they’re like 150 new on eBay.

Maybe I missed it but, are you able to put him in a kneeling position? Like one leg down or does he not have enough range in the articulation?

I cannot get my drop pod open
I'm kind of disappointed at the size of the drop pod but once I actually get it in hand I'll probably like it i had planned on displaying it beside my mcfarlane rookie/drop pod :D.
I ended up paying an arm and a leg for the mcfarlane drop pod an rookie set never got it..
looked at it for years on ebay till I couldn't take it anymore and pulled a yolo last year. Can't believe you have the joyride odst another figure I looked at for years but never could bring myself to pay the price for it and now I regret not buying one when I was collecting the joyride line a few years back.
I wish jazwares would make an escape pod from halo ce they already gave us a ce grunt and ce chief might as well give us the pod.
Love your enthusiasm....but not the figure.
He's got giant monkey hands and his articulation is such that he barely holds his weapon with two hands.
On my copy, the torso wants to pop off each time pose him- which is super annoying.
Lastly, his helmet is maybe 15% too small- making his head inside bizarrely tiny.
I'm hoping we get carded ODST figures with these issues fixed.
If they fix the hands and torso popping apart, I'll buy as many as I can find!
Nine months after your review and I'm sad to say, we haven't gotten ANY two packs or wave five or the Heretic order ANYTHING.
I fear for the line's future- so I'm buying what I can before the figures skyrocket in price! Amazon still has the Flood set for $22 and I suggest everyone buy a couple of those sets.
I have seen these ODST pods in Target- and I'm waiting for them to go on clearance.
If I can get another of these for $15 or so, I'll buy a couple more.

Exactly what I plan to do! There isn’t much that makes the rookie unique in terms of armor, so he’s going to be the easiest one to customize!

My plan was to paint over the white stripe on the helmet and paint the fingertips black, because the fact that guys who drop in tiny pods from orbit wear fingerless gloves was always weird to me
That's not me hating on fingerless gloves, they can be cool, but sir, you are in space, there is a dress code
The only detail that I dislike is that Jazwares used the UNSC logo from Halo Infinite instead of the original that appears in H3 ODST, the letters should be with a different typography and with thinner letters
Still I'm going to buy the figure anyway 😅

@@RustbeltCollector And I must admit that with the ODST from H3 Campaign Jazwares bothered to put an emblem on the right side that appears inconspicuous and was not really necessary.
I'm surprised they messed up such a simple detail as the UNSC logo but painted the belt details perfectly
Maybe I like that they pay attention to those little details 🧐

I am so goddamn unlucky, I got one because of this video and it’s left arm was broken and I couldn’t return it so then today I went to target to get another one and the same arm broke in the same way, I am so pissed bully me all you want I don’t care anymore
