I love this game for the same reason i love Blazblue, every character has an incredibly unique gimmick and because of that there is so much dirty shit in the game.
It’s fun, but it takes a long time to get used to. I’ve been playing for a whole year now and I’m still an amateur. Probably cause I didn’t go to the dojo first I was stubborn and started without going in the dojo. If I were you and just starting I would definitely go into the dojo.

While the game may not be "complete", that doesn't change the fact that Microsoft isn't gonna go back and continue development on this game, whether a new game comes out or not. One thing I love about this game is that every character is balance ! a top tier character could play versus the lowest tier character and the lower tier character stand the same amount of chance of winning ( if played by top player and what not ) The game is also easy to learn but really hard to master but anyone that didn't play it could start now and in about 3-4h with one character could learn most of their basic and go have fun Also no fireball spam !! I mean you can on certain character like Jago/Fulgore but you will get picked on with ease As for Cinder someone asked if he was good or not and like Max said he is really good but really hard to play, I saw one Cinder player at Combo Breaker just doing infinite loop with close to perfection input it was god like to see I hope anyone who see this game on Max channel start playing the game ! Half the people dont have ultimates the balance in the game is broken. Only omen fulgore rash aria and Jago are good . Plus missing skin . Finishers recapture. Etc...
As a Raam main, all you really have to do is outzone us which is not hard to do considering he's very slow. Raam has a terrible time getting in, not to mention his combos are very linear so you break them more easier than other fighters.
You're absolutely right yes, it's not very difficult to deal with RAAM or counter him even in the mirror match. I just simply don't find any joy in fighting characters whose damage is incredibly high because they don't hit very often. While I know my opponent won using the tools that they were given and their own skill, losing over half my HP to a 5 hit combo in any game feels like robbery. (Especially in RAAM's case, since Instinct can let you do exactly that after getting in once. Cinder also has this, but at least he can't 50/50 me off of a command grab for a full combo.) But this is KI, and most members of the cast can do that given you put in the work for it. It's what makes the game both incredibly hype, and incredibly frustrating.
It's crazy that this game's nearly nine years old and still looks and sounds fantastic!
