We lived in a f’d up country unfortunately. So many issues and this is just the tip of the iceberg, in my experience the police officers number one job is to generate revenue and then “protect and serve”. And then prisons make profit on woman like her even after she already was being trafficked and taken advantage of and then to be let out with no resources. I am so ashamed to live in this country because it is a true embarrassment. My heart breaks that she had to go through this along with the many others out there.

yo so I worked at a motel for like 4+ years graveyard shift and it was one of those run down cheap motels and certain stuff you had to really pay attention too like little details and its crazy how much stuff goes on in motels. I remember this one girl she didn't speak engilsh and was with this guy who would pay and speak for her he would direct her to stay in the vehicle and certain body language you could tell something was up and its soo hard to determine whether this person is in trouble or not. They would stay under the week rate and would have guys going in and out of the room like clear to me its most likely prostitution and we contacted police about it and had regular patrols around the motel for stuff like this also break-ins cause we had a really run down side that was vacant. it was annoying because the owners didn't really care about anything as long as they got money and it was a big learning experience when it come to people and body language I still sometimes get mad at my self for not doing more if I could but that was one incident that stuck with me a lot, like what if it was a person who needed help. later there was arrests at the motel for trafficking and drug dealing but I wasn't around to see if it was that person. there was a lot of crazy nonsense that happened at that motel I'm just glad I'm not working there anymore. this just made me think how hotels or motels really are a hub for criminal activity like crazy and these people are very smart they know all these grey areas of the law so is so impossible for police to help sometimes the police really hit these brick walls and cant proceed with certain things cause it infringes on rights. its hard. sorry about the ramble and grammar lol

I’m **SO** glad she spoke out against s3x work. The fact of the matter is - p0rn and s3x work will ALWAYS increase the number of victims of human trafficking. Always. Do your research, people!

Do your research. New Zealand decriminalized sex work and saw a decrease in sex trafficking. Sex work is legitimate work. Stop pushing antiquated, puritanical views of sex that exist to govern how women behave.

She’s an incredible woman! I wonder what state she was in to allow this to happen? This is heart breaking that she got 40 days and the 2 traffickers got out in 10 days or less.

That’s terrifying. She deserved so much better. Those guys need to be in prison for life. I hope she is better. Anyone who buys another human is NO LONGER a human themself.
