    I love these "old world" glass videos. The studio art glass movement of the sixties and seventies owes everything to these masters and their age-old techniques. Lino, in particular, was THE guy that brought these "secret" techniques out of Murano for all of us to use for our own art. And for those interested, you can still see Lino creating his art in videos from CMOG (Corning Museum of Glass) and other world-class studios. Thank you so much for posting this!

    i love it when Lino says the "large scale" of this work holding a 14-16" platter .
    his current work is gigantic compared to this platter.
    i have this tape and have spent time with Lino

    Il video è una rara testimonianza dell’altissima qualità muranese. Non ve ne sono molti perché i grandissimi non amavano render pubblico il loro lavoro. Insomma non volevano curiosi in fornace.

    Lino Tagliapietra l’ultimo dei grandissimi Maestri Vetrai Di Murano/Venezia del 900. Allievo di Archimede Seguso che con Alfredo Barbini ha scritto la storia e dato in eredità il plurisecolarre know how muranese
