    "All glass begins as a molten "blob" out of the furnace." M/S of a glass blower standing beside a furnace. He pulls out a long pole with a blob of melted glass on the end. "On the way it is treated, depends the finished article. Rolling and blowing is an essential part of the treatment." M/S of the man rolling the glass on a block. We then see him begin to blow the glass. C/U of the glass being rolled. M/S of man applying stripe of another coloured glass onto a darker blob. A foreman oversees his work. "It's getting too cool - so a little heat is applied." M/S of the glass being put into the furnace. "- and the good work goes on."
    M/S of the glass being blown. "Guess what it's going to be." L/S of the man at work as the glass shape grows. He uses large tongs to shape the bowl. "No, not quite right! It's a plate two feet in diameter." M/S of man revolving the glass plate. Another worker brings a flat carrying pole and the plate is placed upon it. "A contrast - a dainty wine glass" C/Us of processes involved in making a wine glass. "Glass moulding is a very ticklish job." C/Us of men doing intricate work. "Specimens of the glass maker's art." M/S of two men standing beside a cabinet with various glass items on display. C/Us of the shelves which contain clown ornaments, fish made of glass and other decorative items.
