As a huge SuperStrat fan, I'm very admired of your choice for making a SuperStrat-shaped guitar as your signature model! And I'm so glad to see you still have this repainted Michael Wilton signature LTD in your arsenal - NEVER break up with this guitar! This guitar have a soul now, and it's part of your soul.
Been playing for nearly 20 years and this is hands down the best guitar I've owned. Had it for over a year or so now it hasn't let me down for live/recording. Unbelievable playability and so comfortable. Top work on this axe mate! 🤘🏼
I graduate in May with my degree, and plan on buying myself the ESP LTD JM-II as a graduation gift. I'm even more excited now after finally getting to see Sylosis play in SLC last week. Been listening since Conclusion of an Age🤘. Hope you can come back to Utah and headline!
The JM-II is hands down the best guitar I've ever owned and played. It was a 6 month waiting time, but GOD DAMN it was worth it! What an ABSOLUTE axe!!
Do you still have that Eclipse Silverburst? A nostalgic question because I just remembered that I learned how to string skip from one of your lessons, long time ago, and you played that guitar in that video. Just curious
I've always been curious on the bridge choice for this because I've been immensely interested in picking one up. I think thats the perfect setup for one of those, kind of want to make my others recessed. Great stuff, man, thanks for sharing
My mate has the jm2. I ha e to say the neck is beautiful, love the roasted colour of it. Makes the whole guitar look extra classy. I bought a brand new M1000 about 3 months before I heard of the jm2. I still want one 😂
I totally get what you are saying about the bolt on necks and TOM bridges and how it effects feel and sound. Bought a Jackson in 2015 with those same specs and no other guitar has had the same feel and sound of it, and my only gripe with it was that the bridge just felt a bit too high, but its still my favorite guitar to this day. Was very surprised when the JM-II was announced with the exact specs that I personally want in a guitar, and have never really seen a recessed bridge either. Cant wait to own a JM-II one day, just figuring out how to get one to South Africa 😂
Whats killer is the passive and active settings BOTH crush. Its not like ones meh, I seriously love both settings. The passive has a very singular tone, it is its own sound
I bought this guitar at a bargain price and It is now one of the best guitars I have. I do not like signature guitars, but this one is a mix of a classy and agressive look, with the best specs a modern guitar deserves... Very well thought project! Congrats, Josh!
I think it’s important to point out how good the tone is at 7:32 when you start playing live in the video! Idk if it’s the Kemper profile or if it’s processed but the tone I hear in a lot of streams or live play videos are sooo annoying and harsh, but you really get the ultimate tone here. 🤘🤘🤘
Definitely comes down to Josh's really tight playing. The same with with John Browne from Monuments. He can play the cheapest guitars through even tiny amps and get a great tone. I think there's also some added EQ to tighten it up.
Theres a guitar manufacturer (Think its Friedman, not sure) that puts a thin piece of metal between the neck and the body of their bolton guitars and they said it increases sustain dramatically. I too prefer a good old Bolt on.
Trying so damn hard to get that tone with just a 14 year old line 6 amp and ibanez gio. Really dig that style of bridge, might upgrade to one of these!
Josh, I dig your signature guitar, however, the pickup switch is in-between the knobs and is rather challenging to get to in a pinch, unfortunately. I would prefer it in a standard position lower left of the volume knob. I chose the 1000ET loaded with Fishman Moderns because of the pickup switch placement. Otherwise, I would have gotten your signature guitar instead. In any case, you have some of the best-sounding tones I have ever heard since Francesco Mattei of Noveria.
11-56 for C# standard, 10-52 for Eb (live), 10-52 for C# standard in the studio and 9-46 for Eb in the studio. Thinner strings sound thicker believe it or not. I just prefer them a bit heavier for live where I dig in a bit more. Action is as low as I can get it without any 'serious' fret buzz - as in no notes choking out at all. Neck is pretty straight.
why would you let them put the knob so close to the pickups. Such an atrocity. Get Rid Of It! Please! No one needs to have easy access to the volume knob. LOL Just a pet peeve for me, I know I"m not speaking for everyone. But seriously..... get rid of it! Total Rubbish

Play my JM-II every day , the best in my collection 🔥
It’s cool to see the prototype
Thanks for sharing this video 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
A great looking and great sounding guitar!

I bought one of these a couple of years ago. Love it. Every aspect of it. The recessed bridge does work very well.
Love my JM-II, the neck is so smooth and the tone with the fishman fluence is really good
The timing is insane ,been so into buying it the last week and now you release the video of it too ❤😮 Looks dope probably gonna get one soon !
Got this guitar about a year back, no plans on ever getting rid of it. Absolutely amazing guitar
Got a similar LTD with actives and it’s my most versatile guitar by a mile.
I've always been curious on the bridge choice for this because I've been immensely interested in picking one up. I think thats the perfect setup for one of those, kind of want to make my others recessed.
Great stuff, man, thanks for sharing
I’m with you on bolt on, my M-II is and I love it. Also my favourite bridge for comfort is Floyd Rose just so used to it now!
This guitar is both a beauty and a beast ❤. It's so incredibly comfy to play, and of course sounds awesome! Glad we got a detailed overview from you!
Hi Josh, bought it last March. Best guitar I've ever had 🤘🏻
Love mine, plays amazing and gorgeous top on it!
I can't wait to get my hands on this guitar!!!

Loving these guitar videos
Easily the best LTD signature series they’ve released mate. I couldn’t ask for better spec. Finish looks straight from the custom shop too.

whats a bargain price?
@@enacku It was costing less than standard price.
New Kemper pack?! Stoked for that!
Absolute workhorse of a guitar. The only guitar I use for recording and my main 6 string at this point. Sounds and feels perfect!

In this video you use sound Kemper ?
I own one, hands down my favorite guitar I own! I own quite a few so it’s saying a lot man!! ❤
Really curious about the EverTune guitar at around 06:40, looks very similar to the production MH-1000.
I would love a silverburst J M 2 You have said previously it’s your favourite guitar finish!!!

out of stock in many shop , mine is ordered, I'm impatiently waiting for it
Josh, really I miss the times when you did a little crazy demo with catchy riffs before review of the guitar.
Would love to see a new Kemperpack!
☠️☠️☠️awesome ESP GUITARS SIGNATURE☠️☠️☠️🇧🇷
Beautiful guitars.
It’s super sick I wish there was an evertune version as well.
That evertune custom arch top just needs a reverse headstock hehe is the neck raw? Can’t wait to see it more
🎉🎉🎉🎉yessssss. I still need one yeh?
You need at least 2
Theres a guitar manufacturer (Think its Friedman, not sure) that puts a thin piece of metal between the neck and the body of their bolton guitars and they said it increases sustain dramatically. I too prefer a good old Bolt on.

you need 5150 or rectifier, i have his plug in. the recto amp on there is sick
@@Nasty_Riffs I've been checkin out those 5150's, they are fuckin great just pricey, the rectifier I haven't heard of I'll look it up. Thanks brotha!
Hey Josh, big fan!! You have kemper packs coming?
fair few of the older songs have whammy bar bits, are you adapting those live then? are you no longer touring any of those floating bridge guitars?
What string gauges do you use for these two tunings?
Any idea when new stock is coming to the Sylosis website? I've been looking to get some medium tshirts but most are out of stock.
Will the new Kemper profiles be up to par with your STL stuff tonally?
I own a JM-II as well, but what I really want to know is what gauge are you using for the E# and the C# guitar!!?
Sick guitars! :)

I’m sure you had thought long about it, but the two you like best have maple fretboards. Any thoughts about that?
🤘🏼Bolt On 🤘🏼
Lovely sounds. Your Moderns sound darker than the one I had, didn't like mine at all. Guess it's your guitar (which sounds lovely).
NEW KEMPER PACK??? I need it please
i'd buy this 1000% if you had a floyd option bro.
Josh. Beautiful guitar. But it is not available here in the Czech Republic. Mainly a left-handed model! Is there anything to be done about it?
Yes, but my English is bad. I'm using translator.
Due you and Dave Davidson of Revocation need to get a colab going
Any chance they’ll make lefty models?
What is the neck shape?
Josh what strings gauge are you using for C#?
Do you like Evertune bridge? I see you got one
Killer guitars, I dont know whats about them but ESP LTD gutiars got that special chunkyness to them other brands don`t have
is there also a lefty model?
both original guitars had a floyd rose. coincidence?
How are they setup, string gauges, action height and neck relief?
11-56 for C# standard, 10-52 for Eb (live), 10-52 for C# standard in the studio and 9-46 for Eb in the studio. Thinner strings sound thicker believe it or not. I just prefer them a bit heavier for live where I dig in a bit more. Action is as low as I can get it without any 'serious' fret buzz - as in no notes choking out at all. Neck is pretty straight.
@@JoshMiddletonOfficialthanks for the reply. I prefer the lighter gauges too as I don’t play live anymore.
the two chunings
Damn thats a workhorse
chune o matic
Love the guitar, just need to rip those dreadful Fishman’s out! 😜

its an issue on fender guitars, not on this one tho
do a sound comparison then if you really think bolt on vs neck thru makes a difference in tone. I think you're full of crap
Ola did a comparison on the topic of sustain between bolt-on and thru, was fairly interesting
if there was a left-handed model I would get it in a heartbeat🥲
Same bro
