An apologetic and at times emotional Dan Schneider has broken his silence after viewing Investigation Discovery’s Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, a four-part docuseries that made claims about toxic workplaces for child actors and crews on Nickelodeon series he created and ran.
“Watching over the past two nights was very difficult - me facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and that I regret. I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology,” Schneider told BooG!E, who played T-Bo on iCarly, in a 19-minute video interview that was shot after the former Nickelodeon producer watched Quiet on Set, which aired Sunday and Monday nights on ID and Max.

The whole story of Dan Schneider being the father of Jamie Lynn’s baby just shows how people love to take “hot gossip” and spread it around without actually looking into it. If you actually look at Jamie’s daughter, she looks JUST like Casey a.k.a. Jamie’s boyfriend at the time who she herself said was the father. Her daughter looks nothing like Dan. It’s so ridiculous that these stories that have no credibility keep getting thrown in.
It’s like those people who were speculating and having discussions (as if they were actually investigators) on Prince William and Kate’s marital status during this time of Kate being missing in the public, when really Kate has been going through health issues. They should be ashamed. People just love a conspiracy and they run with it, not realizing that these are REAL people they are talking about and not realizing the damage they can do, all for their own entertainment.

My first thought is even if people are right and she was abused that is her story and only her story to tell. Forcibly outing victims is not being a good victim's advocate and more often then not can retraumatise the victim. Dan Scheider is a creep, but this type of behaviour is only going to hurt victims. The decision to come forward is a difficult one and those that do absolutely should be applauded, but speculating and possibly outing a possible victim who may not be in the proper headspace to deal with it, is absolutely disgusting.

Thank you so much for making this video ❤ Amanda deserves safety and agency to live her life as she sees fit. She doesn't owe anyone anything, especially any trauma she has experienced. That is private information that should only be shared by the person themself, not by speculating para social fans. I hope she finds peace and happiness ❤ she deserves nothing less after dealing with so much

It kinda reminds me of how some people have reacted to Britney Spears post conservatorship, voicing there discomfort with her social media posts. If the goal is protecting victims and changing systemic issues, there are much better ways to spend your time than making a public spectacle of someone's trauma when they've already been through enough. Frustrating you even had to clarify your opinion because some people don't know how to use critical thinking but again just know that many people appreciate you seeing and discussing the nuance in the situation. She has come out so many times saying she does not run those accounts and people ignore her since the accounts say such salacious things. Those accounts make her seem like she's on substances, not in her right mind, and portray her in a way she is not okay with and has said so. Imagine ignoring the human being and choosing to believe a fake parody account making things up and begging people for money pretending to be Amanda. I think we should give her grace and space until she herself comes out and tells her own story in her own words. Ashley Banks and Persian are NOT her accounts and never have been. Please be careful spreading any information provided by fake accounts. Let her tell her story in her own time.

We could be talking about how horribly he treated those female writers - how he trapped them into an impossible situation. Or how he legit exerted power over kids, using their currency - popularity and humiliation - for his own amusement. That’s conversation worth having, not these same AB/DS discussions people had been speculating about for years before the doc. (Edit for spelling error)
