Thanks for the video of Roberta Peters singing “Every Little Star” in an Operatic performance ad the writer’s intended, but I still like Linda Scott’s version better. Have a great day!
Indeed. Roberta(who sadly passed on in 2017) was a leading lyric/coloratura soprano with the Metropolitan Opera for many years. Her roles included Zerlina in DON GIOVANNI, the Queen of the Night in THE MAGIC FLUTE, the title role in LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR, and Gilda in RIGOLETTO.
Six years before Linda Scott would have a huge hit with the song. I believe the song dates back to the 1930's.
Still hoping they might post Linda Scott singing "Christmas Day"; her only appearance on the Sullivan show.

From a segment in this episode in which Roberta Peters and William Warfield presented a tribute to Jerome Kern. Thank you!

I think this was the song Ripley sang to herself in "Alien."
