The Roberts Yellow Drake: An oldie but a goodie

The Robert’s Yellow Drake is the quintessential Northern Michigan dry fly. It’s the backbone of our June fly boxes…and the foundation for many of our “new” flies. Through different thread colors and hackles, it morphs to cover a wide array of mayflies. It’s especially good at imitating the larger burrowing mayflies.
