One of my sisters did very little for a new baby. Her comment? Baby is loved. Baby is cuddled, Baby is fed. Baby is clean. Baby is fine. Baby doesn't care about the nursery. She was going to put money into her child's room when the child was old enough to enjoy the room.
May you blessed with that baby girl soon. The nursery is so calm & serene. Just what new parents need!

I have a 10 month old baby, still sleeping in our room, but recently sleep trained with a rather gentle but effective and quick approach which finally allowed us to SLEEEEP all night! I really enjoyed this video and I wish you all the best for birth and the first few days as a family of 3!
Your nursery is beautiful. I read to my 6 children from the dsy I brought them home from the hospital. I homeschooled them and my two daughters are homeschooling. Those were the most fun years. I continued to read to them before bed every night even after they were able to read themselves. We also had tea time in the afternoon. Republic Tea had a tea Kud's Cuppa. The years go by too fast .My kuds range in age from 35 down to 27 next month. Enjoy I just found your you tube channel. I am enjoying all your minimalist tios

Such a lovely nursery! I had a really nice plan for my son's but never got to do it cos he was five weeks early. I think the sofa's such a great idea! And I always wanted a rocking chair, but time just passed and I never found the perfect one. Oh and I recommend the Haaka battery operated baby nail file set, just in case you're looking. I had a lovely friend who showed me the nursery for her son. I asked her if she felt ready and she said " I've got nappies, a cot and my boobs!" Always makes me smile remembering that. All the baby really needs is you and your hubby, but it's lovely to have such a beautiful space to be in.

Congratulations! 🎉 What a beautiful room for you and your little girl! I'm glad you are not just doing pink or blue- both colours (and the other colours) used for babies are fun! And I needed to hear that others "break the mold" with that, as I never have understood using just one colour depending on if the baby is a girl or boy. You will be such a great mum, and I am excited for you!
Cute! I love the artwork, that little boat in the reading corner is super fun. The dresser/ changing table combo is the best. That’s what we have. Also, we’re all thinking it… where does that little door go?!? I’m assuming just a craw space.
Lastly, just in case people don’t know, ikea will send you a mounting kit for free to mount the dresser to the wall so it doesn’t tip over. Even if you bought it second hand they will still send you the kit.

I love neutral nurseries! I went gender neutral both times (team green), and I really didn't add much because I loved how calm they were. Best wishes on your last weeks/days of pregnancy!

Oh man, yeah, every time I am pregnant, my face and body change big time, so I get it.
We never had a nursery. We have the crib in the living room since we are a family of five in a two bedroom 734 sq. ft. home. It works. We have a very clean and minimalistic home and it is good.
I feel, honestly, you have a lot of baby items you probably will never use or use hardly at all (a lot of what I see here I never used for my three kids - my youngest being born 13 months ago). All those hats. . .I think only one winter hat is all you need when that time comes. I highly recommend not using a diaper genie. We just throw the disposable diapers in the garbage because it gets taken out every day while the diaper genie smell builds up a lot and is is not a fun smell when you take the trash out. Also, if you are not using cloth diapers, I suggest honest diapers, as they are plant based and break down better than the other disposables that will take 350 years to break down. Just my two cents as a minimalist mom of 17 years (that's how old my oldest is. . we had a diaper champ/genie with him and wish I never got it, and I was a minimalist back then too). Diaper cream . . the problem is babies absorb all creams' chemicals, so they are harmful to their skin! use Vaseline or Dyper's diaper balm for diaper issues and baby powder, but don't do lotions. They are not to be used until they are at least nine months old (still I'd say hold off). They don't tell you these things at places. Oh, Aquaphor may be okay instead of lotion. Been a while since I looked at that though.

Oh and your comment about tummy time. There's some debate around the merits of this. Dr Emmi Pikler, a Hungarian paediatrician is good to look into. I only did it at the start and then didn't bother as my son hated it. It didn't seem to make any difference with his development.
