- What's up everyone!? Welcome back to my channel! Today's video is another update on the house build in the UK! The pre fabricated house is FINALLY starting to show up on site which is so exciting! It's about half way finished as of this video, so it's literally flying up as we speak! I hope you guys are enjoying this Dream, Build, Home! Series.

Absolutely A!! 🎉
Really like them both, but do prefer the non-grout. Personally though I would go for the one that will last longer and less maintenance over time as they are both lovely.

Ok. Opinión on the brick...i like the b option better. It just looks much cleaner and. Timeless. Good job you to. Ive been watching you for years now and its been a joy to watch you grow into this courageous couple ready and willing to take on a massive project like your dream home.
I love the B option and honestly your pinky trees against that will look so pretty! I planted zucchini and strawberries they are so easy to care for!
I love the brickslips with the mortar - I can't believe most people are saying that the splitface tiles look timeless, it's the typical modern tile that's in a lot of homes since 2010! There's a reason why homes across the UK have brick and mortar because it's timeless - either way will look amazing! (p.s. Architecture grad here).
Are you allowed to discuss prices as far as how much have you spent so far? How much is gonna cost and things like that ??

It looks like a beautiful and wonderful country house. It is extraordinarily large and spacious. With a beautiful design. You can also have a spacious garden. I love it.

i used to watch your videos years ago when i was about 16 and just stumbled upon this recommendation (i’m 22 now) - it’s so cool to see how much you’ve grown, and i’m so happy for you it’s like stumbling across a long lost friend aha. will be keeping up with this series for sure, hoping the build goes well, it’ll be gorgeous when finished for sure

Carrots are incredibly easy to grow and so fun to pull out. Just make sure as they start to sprout you pull some out to thin them. They crowd easily as they grow.

Wow, y’all have come a long way! Can’t wait to see it done. And I love your trees!! As to veges to plant, tomato plants are easy.. just plant and water basically. 🤣 And the siding… I like B, the no grout option. It looks classier to me.

Brilliant video, Roxxi! So nice to see how the house is coming along. As for the grout, I would definitely go for B (no grout). In our last house, our main wall looked exactly like that and it was gorgeous! I'm loving all your Japanese Acers, so much so that I'm going to show my husband and suggest we have a little Japanese section in our new place! xx
Thanks for the feedback! I think we are also steering towards B! Ooooh yes! they are such stinning additions to any garden! If you need any help or advice on how to best take care of acers give me a shout! I can also advise on the best cultivars as theres so many!

I really love both options, with the grout it creates some nice contrast against the brick tho. Without it it may look just like a big grey block from the far, maybe? Anyways I got SO MUCH respect for the both of you! Building a house mainly on your own is CRAZY!

Also- I'd be curious as to an update on how you still like living in the tiny house now you've been in it a while. Are there any design decisions you love? or ones you regret/would do differently if you had to build it again?

I love these series!! I am so happy for both of you ❤️ I saw the tour of the house plan on another video, everything sounds amazing. I was wondering if maybe it would be good to have a mud room back entrance? Or something similar, in case there is bad weather and not to dirty up the entrance of the house, just as a tip! But everything does look amazing and I imagine it will be even better when it is complete 😍🙌🏻
I Love option A but with a black grout. Option B is also timeless and classy
As far the brick…I personally like the non grout for ease of application but the grouted one is stunning. It’s your dream house…do the one that makes you happiest. As for gardening…try tomatoes, green beans, green bell peppers, maybe cucumbers. Watermelon seems pretty easy and pumpkins. Also strawberries but make sure you have a contained space for them or they’ll grow out of control.
It's going to be an amazing home! I can't get over the size of it, our house footprint is probably around the side of your bedroom 😂 Can't wait to see it progress!
Reading through the comments I see most people like option b, the no grout stonework. I agree. It looks more modern. The sample with the grout might look better if you use a dark grout. I would try a sample with dark grout just to compare the two.
As to the garden I would recommend a salad garden. Lettuce, carrots, radishes and tomatoes. You can even try peppers. If you want cabbage remember to plant it, broccoli, cauliflower and kale away from the peppers because they have different soil needs. Put a wire fence around your garden to protect it from hungry critters. Also, a little trick to keep squirrels out of your garden, mix some coffee grounds in the soil surrounding the garden. Squirrels are not fond of the taste and smell of coffee or the small of mint. Neither are deer. If you plant marigolds around your garden it will keep rabbits away. But the best is a good tall fence surrounded by marigolds. Enjoy your garden!

I think option A looks very special,but i worry about spiders etc. Setting down in the missing grout . So id go for option B for sure ! Love your videos!❤
Option B is my preference
We do Corgette each year as they are so easy!!! You get quite alot off one plant too, we tend to do 2 plants and feeds 2 of us plus spare!

Oh no I think I’m gunna have to go with option b as well as most of the comments, a does look good but I feel like it doesn’t look as good as b, and also I love these videos so much I said omg yes so loud when I opened TH-cam, I can’t wait to see more and watch you venture more into gardening, oh and I feel raspberry bushes are quite easy to care for we had lots growing up, only thing to worry about is the thorns for animals 🤔

Tomatoes and green peppers have been my easiest vegetables to grow. Also, I've had a lot of luck with broccoli! I'm also a beginner!

Zucchini is super easy...just over plant or you will have the zucchini vines growing everywhere!! Lettuces are easy too and they like cooler weather so plant soon.
I can’t deal with Roxi in the white shoes and beige outfit 😂 There’s still so much mud! Hopefully now that you guys are moving into warmer weather you’ll have it done in no time ❤ awesome work!

Some easy vegetables would be carrots and onions. Herbs are super easy to grow as well.

I think that the B is a better choice because if you were to choose A long-term wise it might catch dirt etc so it probably will be more difficult to clean and it might not look as good as it did. However I'd say that it's mainly up to you guys to choose the one that you actually like the most !! 🥰

B, non-grout. Looks absolutely brilliant so far. Obsessed with your Acers. Ours seems to be dying, if you have any tips on how to care for them? We've had it for a few weeks now and the leaves have specs of brown on them x
Thank you! Ooo do you know which kind you have? Some but not all varieties do well when supplemented with liquid seaweed to boost them during the spring and summer months! If they’re getting brown spots it could be either sun scorch and not enough water! If you put your finger in the soil and the soil doesn’t stick to your finger and is dry, then water it! During hot spells you should water it every evening as the sun is setting. It should also have dappled shade during the peak of the sun if possible! Although some acers do well in full sun. It’s just hard to tell without knowing which kind you have xx
