"War on Hamas in Gaza is not over", says Netanyahu

Israel has confirmed that Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas and the mastermind of the October 7 terror attacks, has been killed.

Israel Katz, the foreign minister, made the announcement after DNA tests were carried out on Sinwar’s body.
Sinwar, 61, was Israel’s most wanted man and was believed to be hiding in tunnels under Gaza, perhaps surrounded by hostages.
Israel has already assassinated Mohammed Deif, head of the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, who was killed in an airstrike on Gaza, and Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas’s political wing, who was blown up attending the inauguration of the Iranian president in Tehran.
