My Tessie would talk to me a lot too. She was my Border Collie. Her son, JackBNimble, would too. He loved to sleep on the deck with snow falling around and on top of him.He had an dog igloo he share with his girlfriend-who had her own-but slept with him. He had that thick curly fur. Our dog breeds were related ages ago. Both smart, funny, and beautiful.
Best dog breed ever, never had a better dog than a mini Australian shepherd. My dog is the most intelligent animal ive ever had. Im soo lucky. I had a customer i did some work for give me one from a litter they had with their two aussies as a tip. Best tip ever! SHE IS WONDERFUL.
Two Aussies here. Older one is a rescue and was a year+ when we got him and he doesn't talk (great friend otherwise), new pup is very similar to yours - very vocal. Combined they are better than most people I know!

My boy Dublin talks to.. heehee..and he keeps his mouth moving still after he is done.. so its like a Chinese movie over dub. I just love him. He wants to communicate all the time. He does it when I am on the phone too. He pipes in. My friends are used to it.. they talk back to him. "oh is that right Dublin!" I think maybe I should start a youtube channel too. People always mention how vocal huskies are, but my aussie talks WAY more than my husky. She just loves walking up to us and talking all kinds of nonsense. Her favorites are literally moaning when she gets pets and these weird pig-like noises when she sniffs things
Our red merle Australian Cattle Dog aka: Red Heeler, Ginger, passed away in 2020 at 15+ years old (she was a shelter adoptee). She would sleep with our cat, Smokey, who was upset and depressed for some time after Ginger passed away.

We never have as we are in Alaska and it would be cost prohibitive to do so. Seems to me that you would be better off buying a puppy in California or at least from a state closer to you than Alaska. We spayed Cinnamon a couple of years ago. The ones we breed now came from sheep and cattle ranches in Utah.
Cinnamon limps often from old injuries (kicked by a moose, starting fights and getting hurt by other dogs), but she is doing OK for an 11 year old Aussie. Our Australian Cattle Dog, Ginger, passed away in 2020 at 15+ years old (she was a shelter adoptee).
