I wish they would play this song like this live these days. Seems like most times when they play this song live now they make it a lot more mellow and less energetic. It's ok but the sound of the guitars and the energy from the vocals really make this song great and the difference in how they play it live now is noticeable.
RJA started again international Fame in the mid 2000s. I believe this is the time where he's getting older and his voice is getting lower and range so they actually started to play songs in lower keys to keep up with his voice

what everyone is hearing is not a bad vocalist.. It's clearly, to me as a producer, a technical issue. Probably a mix between bad "mic etiquette" and not enough compression.
