In EU material, it turned out that it wasn't even Skaro that Seven destroyed, but a decoy placed by the Daleks who foresaw the incident during The Dalek Invasion of Earth in the 22nd Century. A scheme going all the way back to Destiny of the Daleks where the Fourth Doctor lands on that same fake Skaro where Daleks were fighting a phony war against the Movellans to trick both the Doctor and Davros at the same time. It's all very convoluted...

Nah, not sitting through someone screaming like a child for 4 hours. From what I have seen, you completely miss the point of DW. The running joke that is Davros and the Master always come back without explanation actually angers you? Grow up. Your grasp of the shows rules of time travel are sketchy too, you're treating it like BTTF time travel when in reality it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff. "Of course Davros wouldn't have the Sonic in Journey's End because at that point in the causal nexus 12 had not interacted with that flux point." I just made that up, but it's exactly the kind of throwaway line the show would use. See if you can't swallow a line of BS like that, you don't get DW. I agree, series 9, and the Moffat era in general isn't perfect. However to become seething with rage over minor plot elements you fail to suspend your disbelief for is not a normal reaction. This video tries to be Jay Exci's "The Fall of Doctor Who" but without the well articulated arguments, story comprehension and you know... the jokes.
Tbf, even if that is true about the causal nexus, the fact that the fans are having to come up with their own headcanon for it says WAY more than it should about the quality of the writers.
Even if it were, which it's not, that means that it's beating Series 8 which in itself is also awful (although nowhere near as bad as Series 9) and beating Series 10 which is just, a bit good.
Personally, my issue with Series 9 is that it sits at a bookend of a 5 season run of Doctor Who where there is no way to jump in and get into it. Clara came in Series 7b and stayed for the next Doctor, making series 8 directly “connected” in the sense that you have to watch 7b to know Clara. This era had already started at Series 5 so… 5 seasons is a very hefty order to ask anyone to remotely get into the show. Series 9 just ain’t beginner friendly. It doesn’t help at all that nearly every story takes up more than one episode. It’s a tall order and it drags too long.

(i've not actually seen the video yet so this could be addressed but) I don't think it's ever CONFIRMED that the child Davros scene was on Skaro but it's a fair assumption. In Genesis of the Daleks, the Kaled people assume that the 4th Doctor, Sarah, and Harry, are Thals because they don't know about alien life yet.
