I don't know if you'll see this but if you do... did you run into any issues with the video getting copyright struck? I've tried to upload my own Ashes to Ashes compilation, and it got copyright struck to hell and back with only 3 clips making it through (amounting to about 2 out of 18 minutes). But I've seen other Ashes clip compilations with seemingly minimal editing (full audio and video, no filters or anything), some of which even have clips in common with mine, so I don't know how they're doing it. If you did, what did you do?

I personally love this movie because it completely understood Jack Sparrow. POTC 4 had tons of "clever Jack" moments - or "Jackanisms" as the PS2 version of At World's End would call them. Jack Sparrow is a character who may be lucky on ocasion, but he goes the extra mile to make his own luck. He only does it under a facade of being drunk and eccentric so he can never be predicted or taken seriously. He's not just "a clueless lucky person" contrary to what that pair of idiots who directed POTC 5 kept claiming during production of that movie.

The ending of the trilogy is not that satisfying, but it’s a damn good one.

I feel like the directors just read the wiki pages of the POTC series instead of actually watching them.

Not just barbossa, but jack would have straight up capped knightly as well. Which would make for a great 7th but thank you ye ol politics

I did like On Stranger Tides, but it feels more like a stand-alone story in the vein of the first one. It vaguely follows up from the ending of the last one, but not in a grand or deep way. It had some highlights, such as Johnny Depp being awesome, Barbossa, and a decent performance from Ian McShaine, but it does lack some of the grandiose elements. Penelope Cruz was also quite annoying, but maybe that’s just me.

Barbossa was one of few characters who was consistently enjoyable.

Critics should respectfully shut their mouths and leave films to be enjoyed by the audiences as they are! Critics are similar to trolls, trying to shut iff the magic that films inspire in many ither people.

@richiereviews I disagree with you once again. As a Pirates fan, I loved "On Stranger Tides". It may have been different from the other three films but it still represented an amazing, awesome, action-packed thriller I thoroughly enjoyed. Even my mum and Dad, who weren't really fans of POTC to begin with, enjoyed it. That should tell you all you need to know. We also enjoyed Dead Men Tell No Tales.

@richiereviews I disagree. Even though the cgi may not have been the same as the 2003/2006/2007/2011 era, it still represented a good story and a good plot. Great cast. Great story. I enjoyed it regardless of the cgi.

I rewrote this whole movie for fun once. The rewrite involved Carina actually letting Henry be killed in that one scene, which caused Will to finally decide to involve himself in the Salazar situation. That was the basic premise.

1. They ruined Jack on purpose to get rid of him from the series. Enough said. 2. The direction of Salazar is barely existent. He speaks too fast to be poignant, he does not talk like a (presumed nobleman?) captain of the Spanish Armada, and how dared they manipulate his awesome basso voice? It sounds less than. 3. Shame there were no proper naval battles, not even the scrapes we usually get in other films, because Salazar's ship just kinda eats the other ships. 😒 4. The effing grievance studies feminist crap is so out of place and ridiculous, and to me as a woman particularly insulting in its boundless stupidity.

Dude you gotta do one on the new let down of a movie that is better than the last one but still shit and that is Beverly Hills Cop 4…the first two movies are non stop action continually push forward the third concentrated to much on comedy the fourth introduces his estranged daughter so there is plenty of dead ground where they have “The Talk”….so excited to see it so disappointed after.

Jack sparrow..yak parrow …ask barrow…the way salazar says his name throughout the movie…almost like how al Pacino can’t be bothered to talk in his movie.

the only thing I disagree with in this entire vid, is jack being the worst swordfighter in the first film, he can beat will and has, and also beat barbossa at different points, he is aruguably joint best in the first, and he can cut of bits and dismembered parts of jones in the 3rd film

Stranger tides was worse in my opinion, this one was painful though. The compass thing upset me pretty well because he has lost and traded over that compass so many times, no ghostly repercussions.

Am I the only one who really doesn’t like Carina? She is definitely not a step up from Angelica in my opinion. She is vastly more annoying and while she maybe has more relevance to the plot, she still feels shoehorned in. Especially with how they force her relation to Barbossa despite it not making any sense. Not to mention all the shitty semi-retcons they throw in because they didn’t really bother to keep lore consistent.

Jack used to be smart, tactical but in this movie hes just one very lucky idiot
