- Sorry about my 2½ week disappearance but work has been hectic lately with the holidays right around the corner. This will all die down & return to normal after Christmas is over. Despite all that though for the last week or so I've been working hard on my next big project & now here it is finally. A full wanderer guide on the requirements to race all 60 wanderers in TXR Zero. I did a race with each wanderer while simultaneously explaining what needs to be done to race them in quest mode that way you can beat them all & get to race rival 400 afterwards to finish the game to 100%. I expected this would be long just barely topping an hour. I did all of them in order from top to bottom in the rival list so C1 wanderers are first, then Shinkanjou, then Wangan, and finally Yokohane. Pretty good way to celebrate my 9 year anniversary since uploading my first TH-cam video if you ask me. Also since posting this, there’s a couple things I need to add about a few wanderers.
Lightning (1/60): Haven’t confirmed this yet but you may need to rack up around 15 wins before he’ll race you.
Toll Free (44/60): Again haven’t confirmed this but you may also have to defeat team Thunder Dragoon, the all Dodge Viper team, before he’ll race you.

This, and perhaps the only racing games that you need to fulfill some unique requirements (such as race a wanderer between 9 to 11 pm in real time, or change your license plate) before you race the wanderers. It's a very unique mechanism for a PS2 game
Same happened on the Dreamcast, in Tokyo 2. Love this game, a remaster would be a dream come true ;_;

Can’t because I can’t beat every wanderer since I have the North American version, the one with that money limit error preventing you from racing Whirldwind Fanfare. I’d have done both a wanderer guide & a video of me beating rival 600 a long time ago otherwise.

edit: I read that you can use a gameshark to exceed 99,999,999 CP. I wonder if the effort is worth.
It’s the only way on the NTSC version. Otherwise you’ll need the Japanese version of the game, Shutokou Battle 01, and a Japanese PS2.
MrSmashboy28 I just play the japanese version on pcsx2 to prevent this problem from happening.

Loved this game but eventually got to point where I didn't know what to do. Probably one of the few racing games most people might need a guide for lol
One of my favourite game, I finished it and it was a lot of fun, even if cars' handling is crappy.
It was always better to play this game with the D-Pad. Analog made the cars very twitchy. Plus the D-pad on PS2 (as well as the face buttons and shoulder buttons) were pressure sensitive. I find myself to be more precise with the D-pad in this game
I see alot of comments on the bad handling but tbh I think people just don't know how to tune the cars right
The only car that was difficult to tune was the viper imo
@@Undertaker93 that was surprisingly easy for me just set the suspension soft and lower the ride height to max for better stability and the rest is dependent on how smooth you drive

Yeah it takes a bit to get used to honestly the c class is the best to mess with to get used to driving and I also recommend trying free run for a bit and just mess around with the tuning settings on your ride until your comfortable with how it performs. It will take a bit of time but it’s a bit better to know the course ahead of time to have an advantage over your rivals at the start and the extra time you spend messing with car settings will definitely improve the handling as well
The car and sticker choice for fighting the Machine of Inferno was clever. The F&F sticker apparently was Shutokou Battle 0 logo in Japan though.
EDIT: 46:39 Speed Box was originally all-NSX team in TXR2, hence what he drives and what you must drive. Hell, you can see the Honda logo and C30A/C32B engine block on the team logo. And 48:25 will bring American players into headache in the next game...
Ur wrong, Speed Box is an all NSX team in TXR1. In TXR2, his team disbanded and he started being a Wanderer

did you hear about the recent TXR3 patch that makes the NA version 100%able?
I don’t play on an emulator so for me that still wouldn’t be the case.
I also heard of this update from a 20+ year old racing game. Unfortunately, I don't play it on emulation, due that my computer, doesn't have enough juice, to handle it. Luckily, I have a modded ps2 shelved somewhere in my house, so is time to dust it off, and make a backup of this patch! 😎🎮
So many memories, still play txr1 and 2 on my Dreamcast. Not sure if ps2 still works. Got zero and 3 for that.

Very good video I must say. I've also started TXR0 recently and I'm having lots of trouble with TollFree. No matter what I do he just does not appear. I drive the Viper on Wangan South, on Day 60 (multiple of 3) and he never appeared once. I am starting to think there might be a glitch on the PAL version.
Well this is the NTSC version so you’ll have to find that out yourself.
I think he might spawn only after defeating speed king and zodiacs appear. I play on PAL and I've reached 100% completion
@@DSL_Returns You won't believe it but there is another requirement for Toll Free, namely defeat team Thunder Dragon. Before I did this he would not spawn no matter what I did. He spawned normally after I defeated the entire team.

i used a viper gts and did it after beating the zodiacs
I can’t make last flight because i have finish all teams and Charisma boss... i don’t know how to spawn a team alpha guy in this case 😅

How do you tune the car to corner that good?
High ride height & hard suspension settings seems to work for most cars. Although it becomes way too loose with really lightweight cars.
Give me TXR3s car noises, with TXR0s soundtrack....

You don’t need the BMW M3, you just need a non-japanese car. Actually as a matter of fact, you shouldn’t use it due to it’s low power. The Viper’s way better in this situation.

Need 1860 miles on your odometer, answered that already in the video since it’s a requirement to race several wanderers.
@@TheJonathan7 or 3000km, for non Americans. You can leave your console on after a race in free ride mode and it will count distance

MrSmashboy28, about Magazine Freak, if you have read the TXR wiki about Magazine Freak, you know how innapropriate the character is, and also bypassed the CERO A rating, firstly, the logo, which is a Sperm cell and an egg, uncensored, and also his bio is related to this, and hos windshield decal is also mysteriously weird, and THE MOST weird thing about him, that his name of NTSC-J is called "Porno Suzuki" which is very hideous.
It was rated CERO 12/B on PS The Best (JP counterpart of Greatest Hits) though, so the Japanese censors did catch that.

Also it is confirmed that in Kaido Battle 2 he actually sells erotic videotapes
And not just that, in Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 his first Bio says "Taking advantage of being a sailor, he loads his car with import prohibited items" considering he sells videotapes, which makes him a mysterious character
And also other fact about txr bypassing the age rating
Street Gambler's rear engined sawed off Toyota bb says "SFGoodbitch" instead of BFGoodrich
And Glamorous Mami literally has a bottomless catgirl as her sticker
How are there no other cars on the road in your game, there's always traffic I have to deal with in mine. It makes it difficult
Traffic is never on when racing rivals from the rivals list unless you hold down square during the loading screen. You’ll always have traffic to deal with during actual quest mode races.

It's a little easter egg exclusively for the R30 & R30M. Equip the level 5 spoiler and the horn switches to a police siren similar to what you hear when getting caught by one of the speed cameras.
Basically NFS Undercover, you're a cop, but you're also a criminal.
