Great 3d work. I'd love to see animation of the head opening up to reveal a skull with cannons in the eye sockets as Giger's sketches showed, or the spears in the causeway shooting out to impale unwelcome visitors. A treat to see Giger's concepts brought to life, thanks.
I think the Barons castle would move on the track. He is constantly on guard to keep his rivals from killing him so he never wants to stay in the same place for too long. The armored face drops down to show the skull which is his throne room with all the holes in the skull being windows.
The first structure we see is not afaik related to Dune, it is in fact Giger's proposal for the structure the Nostromo crew would find - an alien hive-nest, rather than the crashed derelict that finally made the movie. It is extensively seen in the Alien comic series.
@@timothyvilla You're wrong. The first piece of art in this video is the unused Egg Silo concept from Alien. The actual Baron Keep concept was the third structure you saw in this video, NOT the first.
If you look at the new Dune movie that just came out, the artwork on the walls of the Atrides palace on their home and the compound they moved into on Dune has Ginger’s feel to them. I thought that the first time I saw the movie. I don’t know if he’s the one who did the art but they definitely have his feel to them.

Giger's concept art is amazing. Jodorowsky's "Dune" would have been a film for the ages.

The structure is the Baron's keep on Geidi Prime, as first seen on Jodorowski's Dune which predates Alien by quite a few years.

It's most likely a tribute. He died in 2014 from a fall which broke his hip.

Giger's art is amazing but the execution of the arms and "guns" is just stupid.. It doesn't make any sense..
