Haha truly a country bear jamboree ripoff. Notice the piano playing kangaroo rising from the left side of the main stage, exactly like Disney’s Gomer does in their show, same with the 3 koala girls clearly based on the sun bonnets that also raise from the same part of the centre stage as Disney’s bears do. Everything down the stage curtains and golden railing in front of the performers seem to be directly inspired by Disney. Great footage
I’m here because I just watched DefunctLand’s video on the Wiggles ride! I hope Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport was the ONLY Rolf Harris song they used, knowing said “icon”’s misdeeds! While I do still love playing 2003 video game Need for Speed Underground anytime, I find it unsettling that said game not only features a song from Welsh band Lostprophets, whose lead singer is also a nonce (thankfully you can turn that song off via the EA Games Trax menu!), but there’s also a band-themed Nissan car you can unlock in the game! How will I explain this to my kid(s) (if I ever have one/any)?
Sadly, there was one other Rolfe Harris song sung in the 2nd showtape. Its the song Mother Kangroo sings. Rolf Harris is a very bad man but in the time the koala show ran people did not see Rolf Harris as a bad person. We can not go into the past and change the showtape. But its good to learn our past and where we have came from and what to not do.
I really like this showtape. Better than the 90s one. Unfortunately there are only 2 footages of it and both are incomplete. The audio for the showtape is lost, so all I have to say is to wait until someone finds the showtape and uploads it on TH-cam.
Yes, All characters where kept during the 1987 renovation, Changes made during the renovation are New Backdrops for side stages, New Outfits for each character, Changed instruments (kind of), and of course a new showtape. The fur here is the same it’s just the camera quality.
To be honest I cannot describe the show tape that I watched but all I know about it is the rabbit when she sings about somebody in the water scared to come out because they were wearing a inky beanie teenie weenie yellow polka Dot bikini I hate the fact that I have to say that
@@koolkidcopyou know what they should do for honkytonk the kangaroo they should make the song based off of him and only he sings it I know you would love that idea

Yes agreed this is 80’s tape there was 2 main ones, the 80’s one is lost, the 80’s tape is way better than 90’s in every way, it is more Australian.
