I could only understand tidbits form this video, but from what I could gather, the setup for Swissair's demise appears to be similar in form and structure to the demise of Enron.
and now the ironic thing is that Switzerland has become a new member of the countries that issue the Schengen visa, and now there's not a frontier between Swiss and the majority of countries of the UE. The morale of this story is that someone should never say: I won't drink from this water. Life can bring many surprises to us.

Der Leiter einer Niederlassung ist jedoch keinesfalls der Leiter eines ganzen Unternehmens! Dies gilt natürlich auch, wenn es sich um die Schweizer Niederlassung handelt! Man stelle sich nur mal vor, was in der Schweiz los wäre, sollte bspw. der Leiter der US-Niederlassung (passt als Beispiel da McKinsey seinen Sitz in den USA hat) von Nestlé durch US-Medien als jene Person bezeichnet würden die Nestlé leitet.
y pensar que ahora los suizos se han adherido al acuerdo Schengen. Ya no hay fronteras entre los suizos y la mayoria de los paises que firmaron tal tratado. Con esto me queda decir que uno nunca debe decir: "De esta agua no habre de beber", por que la vida da muchas sorpresas. En fin.
Oh, I guess MCK was the smallest problem... Actually they even predicted this scenario. IMO Swissair grounded 'cause of internal and external greed. Along the lines of "When I work so much for the 'flying bank', I also wanna piece of cake!" I mean, even that Corti had to start with absolutely wrong figures (to be cautious, I could have said: "with an economical fraud"), was a call for the oncoming. This whole thing started long before MCK was engaged. Ok, they could have instisted more than they did, but it's always easy to play the Monday morning quarterback...

Once I saw McKinsey and the "Shared Values" diagram they copy/paste/present to every client and overcharge for the privilege, I knew they were doomed.

Enron was outright fraud. Swissair was corporate strategy failure in the face of European deregulation.
