Been living in Toronto for years and this summer was my first time doing the CN Tower + 360 Restaurant. One of the best parts of making a reservation at the restaurant is skipping the super long general admission line. Probably 200 people were waiting in line for the observation deck when I went... meanwhile my party got to waltz right in. The food being great certainly doesn't hurt.
Then we got to watch a Blue Jays game from above - so it was like having free baseball tickets too!

If you have money you can let go of it's a fine experience to have, but if you care about your money a lot it's an experience that's also worth it to not have, the cost of the items are all marked up quite a lot, it's a luxury experience to be sure that a lot of "normal" people try to experience once.
I use to work in this restaurant when I was a teenager, so I got to see a lot of what happened behind closed doors. A lot of the servers, and kitchen staff over work themselves in terms of the duration they work - the servers would regularly make assumptions about which customers would tip, and would not. (The assumptions were often correct.) A lot of members of staff use to sneak smoke breaks in this tiny room near the dishwashing station. (Can't exactly just exit the tower quickly so if you're addicted you'll cave, don't let the manager catch you.) It was an alright job.

I'm on my wife's computer, don't want to mess with her account but you know me as th guy whose wife would eat no lean.
In 1962 I was in Seattle for the World's Fair, and the top of what they called the "Space Needle" rotated and I think this may have been a template for similar places around the world. I wonder if the squid was some sort of cuttlefish whose bodies can be pretty thick, but I've had similar things in Venice and Japan and you were right in what you said and I want to emphasize this. That grilled decapod is out of this world delicious just on its own. Some of the fancy places may try to impress you by adding on their garnishes as if that's going to make it better? The kind of restaurant etiquette people are trying to teach you is wrong. Think about it, you have beautifully cooked salmon, it's going to get better by confusing everything with olives, tomatoes, capers--are you crazy?

I've been to the CN tower, but never really went to the restaurant. Sounds like I'm missing out by not going there when I'm in Toronto.

It was very good! Though very rich. Coffee would've went well with it

I know I’ve said this before but I think it bears repeating. Giving you a butter knife to use with meats is the ultimate faux pas. The only way around it is bring your own folding steak knife. There are some really nice ones and you can sharpen it or have it sharpened professionally. You’ll never have to eat with a butter knife again

Lived all my life in Toronto. Lots of places to see and eat. If you like Greek food check out the Danforth. If you looking for a trendy spot check out Ossington strip

You should review toronto hot dog stands with their italian sausage. I have been to many states that claim to have the best most iconic hotdogs, none of them come close to toronto street dogs. You could do it as a short or something
