If nothing else this video did get me to look back at Senua's Sacrifice. Something I'd forgotten on the stream is there's a cool bit that recontextualizes the the player-character relationship, where it's shown she is entirely aware the player exists, but assumes you are another aspect of her psychosis. Overall the sequel sounds like the usual issue where a smaller studio makes something cool, then is acquired by new execs, and made to do less with more budget because they (either the bigger dev team or the new execs) are more interested in making money than doing something unique.
