Can that technique be used when connecting power supplies in parallel? To avoid reverse voltage to the smallest power supply?

Thanks for great presentation sir, I would like to know why is resistor used on the gate and why is zener diode used, is it possible that MOSFET can work without zener diode and resistor? Thanks

Hello Sir, we can use N channel MOSFET by placing it in between the load and -ve terminal of the source. In that case we do not need a complicated circuit, two resistors and a zener diode can do the job.

Come on Anurag don't call me sir,
You are right we can use N-channel MOSFET like that it is the best solution but, there are many systems where we use different grounding paths for analog and digital signal even they have different connectors and connect the layout with just a small ferrite bead so some limitations arrive for low side NMOS Reverse voltage protection. Otherwise it can be used

Bouth mosfet circuit is not revers voltage/current protection if d'ont revers drain wisth source terminals!

I have one question, how can i charge a battery if i've added reverse polarity protection?

What is the disadvantage of using nmos in the low side (i.e. return line)? It will not need a gate drive, and will protect against reverse input.

Excellent video! Only minor issue is you used Zener Diode symbol for Shottkey Diode.

If we talk about Dc-dc converter, this is input side of converter. I am interested in output side of converter ( reverse polarity protection). If By mistake some one connect output side battery of dc dc converter reverse manner.,that will be hazard. Pls. Suggest some circuit for that
    Thanks in advance

One very easy and cost effective method is to use one diode and fuse.

Hi, how does P channel conduct here bcoz in p channel the flow of current is from source to drain , here drain is connected to batt positive, does this mean drain and source are interchangable

Sorry brother but if you use rectifier with dc input then no metter with polarity input issue output is always polarity

I try this method in 52 volt battery the mosfets fail at no load why is this but at 12 volt the mosfet don’t fail why the voltage level damaged the mosfets

Pchsnnel MOSFET Gate source maximum voltage IS usuallyv-15 -20 or -30V depending on type , thus you should Have a zener diode between Gate andvsource, plus a series resistor to limit zener current to some mA 52V-25V requires some kiloohms such as 4.7 KOhn.
