Planning a trip in May.
Suggest route plan.
Road conditions are very good from Shimla side till kaza and losar village.
Only Chandratal and Manali roads are not good in Spiti Trip.
And I’ll suggest you to start your trip from Shimla side if you are planning full spiti circuit.

Till kaza and chicham bridge roads are very smooth. Chandratal to Manali area me off-road hai bas. But manage ho jayega Dhyan se deve karna vaha thoda bas

Sedan car is fine from Shimla side till kaza and chicham bridge as roads are very good till kaza and chicham bridge but if you want to visit chandratal then I’ll not suggest sedan car on chandratal road because there is total off-roading.

Verna is best for Spiti but only Chandratal to Manali, I will not suggest Verna. And yes you can also hire bike from Shimla for your spiti trip. It will cost you Rs. 1200-1300 per day

May end me weather kafi acha rehta hai. Na zada garmi na zada thand baki snow to us time kahi bhi nhi mil payegi

Yes you can travel by ertiga car. It’s very nice car to travel in spiti.
But if you are planning in July month, then check weather forecast before starting your trip as it’s the starting of monsoon season in July

Jio will work best all over in Spiti except Chandratal. In Chadratal area, there will be no network of any sim.
And yes you can do online payments in all over spiti. And there is no permits required for self driven cars.

Shimla route is safe throughout the year. But in August, there will be monsoon season. So I will suggest you to travel in September month.

Is driving safe for people like us how live in plains. Though I have driving experience in mountains. But I find some difficulty when suddenly a steep road comes and another vehicle is moving infront.
