started using visualizer.coffee last month now that it has a highly robust feature set, yet I had no clue we can download the profile used - that is so cool! Would like to see your perspectives of different go-to baselines for profiles, for example I frequently use a modified version of the Adaptive Shot, Rao Allonge (I didnt find a use for the Adaptive version), and my own hybrid Blooming Espresso that has far more body and improved mouthfeel over Rao’s default in exchange for some small compromises. What do you use and why?

Brian, what’s the deal with really low temp extractions? What’s the rationale other than it’s better for dark roasts, this first example suggests it wasn’t a dark roasted bean.

      Hey Zoltan
      SO 2 things here:
      1. DE1 temps reading are MUCH lower in general
      2. 98 HU extract super fast
So for Joe this profile is working great. It is kinda counterintuitive at times but you can use temp + extraction efficiency to pull light/darks. Another fun one is ultra high temps + dark roasts on slower extracting grinders like the NZ, this is kinda the opposite of that!

@@BrianQuan I love how we have these generally accepted rules / laws of espresso and then someone comes along and goes, actually, it's also good this way which goes against everything we used to believe in :D

Is there any way to import these Decent profiles to the SE Profiler transducer app?

Unfortunately I don't have the SE profiler so I am not sure!

@@BrianQuan Brian, even if you don’t have a Smart Profiler transducer you can download the SE Profiler app to your iPhone and use it with the Acaia Lunar scale to profile your shots on any espresso machine. You will not be able to record the pressure since you don’t have the transducer but the flow graph can be recorded. The SE Profiler app allows you to share your recorded profile that you can save in the app with others via email and other means. However, there is currently no place to exchange profiles for the app and research them.
If you haven’t seen the SE Profiler app I suggest you download it to your iPhone. It’s free and it’s great!
