I’ve watch many videos on TH-cam about rc racing. I have to say, you are the best instructor I’ve seen. Ive watch many videos over the years for other projects non rc related. Yet they don’t match your teaching techniques. Thank you.
Very good information and tips, I recently started racing and I find myself at the point where my average times are 2 to 3 seconds off my best lap. I am now trying hard to relax on the race meets in the air jumping because I keep freezing, where as at practice I am confident, It really is a mind game… But nice to see your videos
That's amazing. Steering the front tyres into the direction of the roll works to generate an anti-roll torque due to the gyroscopic effect of the front tyres.
Perfect! Now i know. After my first summer in 1:8 buggy. Now i know: turn wheel to ground. That was good and easy to remember. Trying next summer on Gröndal Sweden.
Hi JQ, Great video, especially the jumping with the effects on turning the wheels. I ordered your book and am looking forward to read and experience it 👍
I watch your videos over and over seems like every time I watch them I learn something new. I would like to hear more about the electric side of your courses.
Great tips. jumping info at 9:30. Sounds like you used to race motorcycles too. I'd add that big jumps are slower. The longer the wheels are on the ground the better. Can't accelerate in the air. So don't seek big air.
im just starting with this track stuff and last time at the hobby shop i turned my throttle endpoint WAY down limiting my speed. im not sure if i was faster but i was noticeably smoother. with a faster top speed it might have been more fun but with the endpoint turned down it was more satisfying. turns were noticeably easier because i wasnt giving it to much throttle upsetting the car. my thottle was smoother so therefore my turns were smoother. i do the same with my brake. basically i turn my throttle down so i cant easily enough clear the biggest jump, plus a little and i turn the brake down so that i cant basically slam on the brake and slow down as much as ill ever need to for the fastest strait/tightest turn combo.
A lot of good info in your vids , subbed !! Although what I race is 2wd SCT indoor carpet high grip , smooth but with jumps , great education on roll centers / sway bars !!! It is always preached slower is faster , smoother !! Thanks
Another great video. Any suggestions on getting the timing right for small double double in a 10 scale. I keep lawn darting into the face of the third jump and end upside down or double single single.
or as for me i can do double jumps fairly good in a couple of laps and the next i go to short "darting" it or far enough to mess upp the landing and end upp on the roof. need to find a way to make jumping consistent.
Hi JQ! I know from motorcross whips/scrubs are in most cases faster also air-travel time seen since you can go flat, but is this also faster in RC? I do it all the time but it does not look that faster on straight jumps/tables
You cant scrub an RC car. You can brake on the face of a jump, and you can whip the car to prepare it for the angle of the next section, but you cant scrub to go lower and faster
at 15:03, why does it rotate the rc more level when turning down toward the ground? Wouldn't you want to turn away? Or do you have a video that you have covered this already and I just can get the link for that one? Thank you for the good explanations on these.
Very good vidéo ! i have a question about how to do when you have a jump After a right line for exemple, and you are coming very fast, too fast for the jump.
Wheres the part where you teach people to take their learnings from a video to the track.???? Nobody will ever get better watching these videos, not because of the videos but People in RC seem to go instant dumb whenever they get to the track
2024...Props for offering information that REMAINS valid👍🏾💪

Love your videos, you are about the only one on TH-cam that makes sense to me and not just using “feeling” words to explain engineering topics….
This was truly an AaaHaa moment. It makes complete sense the buggy needs to react to your input. EXCELLENT explanation. Thank you for sharing.

Just got into fast cars from crawling. These are just the kind of tips I need. Thanks! 🙏
Makes sense let’s get video on how to whip it !

I learn jumping and landing with MT at skatepark..easier when I drive sct at the track..i think many ppl are heavy fingered ..😁

Thanks for short lesson and advice JQ!!!
I'm renaming all my cars "AL".
Your videos are so well done and highly valuable. Thank you.
I can't wait for the toe video to come out on the course.
Thanks for showing love JQ. I just made a video on THE CAR thats finally in my possession.
Good info I am a new to rc and I just started racing.
It's nice to stumble across a video like this, very handy indeed, thank you!
Great Video. Great Advice
Thanks for the explanation. It makes a lot of sense.
Looking forward to trying these techniques. Thank you

awesome tips for air control.
beautiful Mayako you're holding there..
by the way... is there any electric version of that buggy coming out any soon?
Next year
Excellent lesson!! Keep up the good job
Very informative.Thank you!
Gran bel tutorial ottime informazioni grazie 😊

Gyroscopic force of the spinning tires. I have a video on that in my online course. courses.invisiblespeed.net
Thank you for the info. I will look into the classes.
I can tag the throttle to bring the nose up, but I have a hard time tapping the brake to bring it down.
I like it :-) Thanks!
Excellent 👌
Thank you for this video! Not so many vids on driving techniques out there. How many of these will be in the course?
Look here: courses.invisiblespeed.net
👌🏽Good advice
Awesome tips
what kv and gear ratio best on track for good speed?
Very good vidéo ! i have a question about how to do when you have a jump After a right line for exemple, and you are coming very fast, too fast for the jump.
This is answered in the course
Go Slow to be Faster 🔥🔥🔥
Oddly enough I just bought a new in box Yellow edition. Just because. A little behind the 8 ball. Lol
Is your real name Yoda? These are great tips 👍
Al Pacino has a blown diff
Example don’t you mean course sample
👍
If you want to win, learn from a Finn!
Sadly many beginner has no patience ..they just want speed..lol
🤙🤙🤙🤙
plugging the new car huh
Get a mugen
That’s all good and well but when there’s 11+ other cars on the track…makes it more difficult
You are only driving your own car
True lol thanks for simplifying…love your videos!

Not all people.
