You forget that since Battle of Midway the US had huge problems on the Pacific theater, and their morale was underground. The americans also found a Zero with no damage in an island with its pilot dead, so they could study its weak points perfectly.

This was because on maneuverability A6M completely wins Wildcat and surpasses Hellcat. Kamikaze actions made Japan lose about 200-500 pilots per day so at last there were only rookies on the sky, but if US morale wasn't heavily damaged on 1941-42, there would have never been morale bombings (Doolitle's one) Japan were worse on ship tactics
Soviet Union begin to winning battles only when it take advantage on Germany by number of tanks, infANTRY, planes and so on. Heroism by itself means nothig in modern war.
Hate to tell you the okha's "Baka's" sucked they only have two confeirmed kills a destroyer and a tanker,no carriers,no battleships or cruisers,those hellcats ,wildcats and corsairs did there jobs keeping the bettys carring bakas away from the main fleet
