This is the first game/simulator music video I ever saw on TH-cam 15 ish years ago. Still come back to it every few years for a hit of nostalgia. Really well made and timeless.
This has to be one of the best WWII flight sim videos I have ever seen in 22 year of collecting combat flight sims. The unusual use of "Ghost Riders in the Sky" had the perfect beat for the ferocity of the adrenalin rush going into combat even if it was a tad too American for the context of this terrific tribute to the Pilots of the Battle of Britain and to Oleg's IL2 series of flight simulators. Just great. Thanks a lot.

Your video settings are back from stone age, but your director skills are from the 30th century! This video is soooooo fun and I love it! Truly, there are just few IL-2 video makers who can do such good job as you did in this movie! Well done, hats down! ~S~

the front carriage was too narrow so the plane tended to fall to a side, and once the tip of the wing touched the runway... the show was over. it had a reason tho, the wings could be removed and the plane wouldn't need any sort of support because the carriage was attached to the fuselage (unlike many planes of the era).

Actually, RAF 303 Squadron was one of the Free Polish squadrons, and at the time of the Battle of Britain, were equipped with Hawker Hurricanes. Incidently, it was the highest scoring RAF squadron in the BOB.
are you using some sort of mod? because i never saw anything remotely similar to a pilot's foot getting stuck on the cockpit (around 1:44) (also many other things, like the a pilot hitting the canopy with his fists...)

It's post production CG made specifically for this movie. You mean you REALLY couldn't tell from looking at it? That's a little sad, that you can't see the ENORMOUS difference between something whipped up in Maya and the IL2 Sturmovik engine.

The Spit was mounting 20mm cannons for trial purposes during the battle, but there were serious reliability issues and so the Spitfire Ib was only used in limited numbers. Towards the end of the battle the problems had been ironed out, but the 2 cannon, 4 Browning armament wasn't really standardised until the Mk.Vb in 1941.
Bengfort, to center the gun sight you have to press "shift+F1",in fact it's depend of the configuration you have chosen. In the command set up, the gunsight view is in the "view" class. you will maybe have to search a little bit! good luck. tell me when you'll have resolved your problem!

One of the best IL2 videos I've seen...
It's IL2 Sturmovik 1946, the holy grail of WW2 Flight Simulation.
In the Battle of Britain, by numbers the backbone of the RAF in WW2 was in fact the Lancaster.
