I went to see this concert when I was a kid. I was 14. I can still remember sitting in the audience and watching the king of pop preform his talent. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was going to see the opening for This Is It when I heard he died. It was one of the saddest moments in my life. He will always be loved no matter what way music turns.
When I was little, Michael Jackson was my childhood crush. I thought he was cute then and I still think he was. Why did he have to be so handsome? And he had the cutest laugh you ever heard! Being a Jackson 5 fan in the '90s, I did not pay much attention to his solo stuff, but now that I am older, I am getting into the songs that he wrote and performed as an adult. The Thriller video used to freak me out as a child! And I'll admit it, I wanted to date Michael when I was little! Lol! My mother isn't as big a Michael Jackson fan as my father and I are, but that's okay. I wish I could have seen Michael perform live, but sadly that didn't happen. I was afraid of the pyrotechnics when I was little, but after seeing Paul McCartney five times and if Michael we're still here performing for us, I would have gone to see him if he performed in smaller venues. I actually watched a Michael Jackson concert for the first time right here on TH-cam a couple weeks ago and I loved it! I will be watching more of his concerts more often. I might want to see a Michael Jackson impersonator someday to see what a Michael Jackson concert would have been like. I love and miss you, Michael! ❤️❤️❤️😘
One of the female dancers at about 2:30 looked familiar... and then I realized, that is Cheryl Crowe when she was a backup singer to Michael Jackson at the start of her career before Tuesday Night Music club in 1993. So while Michael Jackson at this point in time was the only important artist on stage, a budding backup singer/dancer was about to hit it big a few years later. I even found a video later of Cheryl Crowe singing with Michael Jackson before this video showed up in my feed.
My favorite 'The Way You Make Me Feel' performance has got to be the Michael and Britney performance! Just watching this makes me realize how perfect and flawless the MJ & Brit performance is! 💗 💘
Michael Jackson sin duda alguna es sin duda alguna uno de los mejores cantantes de los 80 y 90 en Estados Unidos, no era como esos artistas de música basura como Snoop Dogg y Megadeth. Michael Jackson is without a doubt one of the best singers of the 80s and 90s in the United States, he was not like those trash music artists like Snoop Dogg and Megadeth.
Wrong date. This on July 15th not 16th. This song wasn't performed on the 16th, because of the show starting late due to Michael meeting Princess Diana and Prince Charles prior to the show. Originally Michael intended to drop "Dirty Diana" from the set list that night as he was afraid it would offend Princess Diana, however Diana told Michael to not do that as she loved that song and it was one of her favourites and so TWYMMF was axed instead.
It would have been better if Tatiana Thunbtzen wasn’t removed from the bad tour so she can perform with Michael again, again and again 😢😢but the performance is great.
I LOVE THIS PERFORMANCE, but let's be honest, Tatiana Thumbsen is way better than her replacement. Tatiana had way more groove and you could feel the chemistry and the energy surrounding them both. It sucked that Frank DiLeo and the people around MJ pushed her away because I think that's what 's what ignited the song and could have ignited this performance a lot more! But still, MJ is the G.O.A.T and this performance is still G.O.A.T.E.D!
DiLeo wanted complete control over Michael, when Tatiana spontaneously introduced a kiss into their routine, the crowd loved it and Michael said to keep it in the show but from then her days were numbered. Michael’s mother also noticed the chemistry between them and really encouraged Tatiana. Last thing DiLeo wanted was a girl to come in and take away from his influence. Strange that Michael just allowed her to disappear from the tour and never told DiLeo to bring her back, but by 1988/89 Michael was already in the throes of addiction
lip-sync but you have to give him credit because dancing and singing is not that easy, you can see the moment when he asks to pause the audio track at 1:57 to 2:12 and in the end he sings again with his voice
I think he actually sung this one because at 2:05 and says ”everyone sing” and the crowd sings. and most of the time they record the vocals and add it on to what there singing to they don’t have to sing vocals at the same time
Michael was very crafty with this stuff it's mostly playback(possibly with re-recorded vocals) but ar certain points of the song song like when he says "everybody sing" and then at the very end it's live
@@Marooshaz Yep dude u are right. While listening to it for the first time, I was confused whether it was lip sync or live, because it wasn't settling on any side. Then I again heard it and realized that there are plenty of playbacks going on. Though the final part was definitely live, that MJ also did in such History tours and 30 th Anniversary too. However ,really doesn't matter 😅..... He's dancing at the same time, so keeping the vocals that good isn't possible, so playback is understandable 😊😊
It's playback and for 10 seconds its live at 1:54, Smooth Criminal and Way you make me feel was 3/4 always playback because its a dance heavy performance.
That‘s not true. The Way You Make Me Feel was live throughout February to Early May, 1988. Once the European leg of the tour started, he did lip-sync for TWYMMF
@@GutaniowiHailag a serious question: do you really use your ears?? listen to the original and then to this live version, this is not pitched, and not slowed down, this is sung totally differently, you can clearly hear it without even paying attention. at some points you can even hear adlibs that they didn't have in the original, some notes are longer or shorter, thinner or thickr than usual.
