Peter white is such a nice guy too he I met him at a jazz festival I told him I play Saxaphone and showed him my CDs he said he would listen to them and he said if we run into each other maybe I will pull you onstage bring your Saxaphone the next time
Greetings from South Africa....WOWWW...!!!!... Peter ,you are the greatest Acoustic guitar player around....I listen to your music EVERYDAY brother...!!!!
Love listening to Peter White! It's almost as if the guitar is a natural part of his body! ...and Head Over Heels is one my favorite songs by Peter. Great show!
Hi Victor! For the fact that Peter was actually only the last minute substitute for Richard Elliot, who fell ill at short notice, he managed the show extremely well. He took his guitar, the next plane, Richard's accompanists and became the highlight of the festival.
Peter is such an amazing talent. Truly a gift to the world and a super nice guy. Saw him live for the first time last year (although have been a fan for decades).
You're right. I also never miss an opportunity to see him live. Peter himself often jokes: ‘I haven't learnt a proper profession yet!’ But I think he still keeps his fridge full ;-)
@ Mitsumus - I recorded and uploaded the concert because Peter is much too good to be enjoyed only by 500 fans in the concert hall. I'm glad you enjoyed this video.
I hope someday I’ll get to see him perform live. Besides being an ace musician, he appears to be a very humble guy. A joy to watch. Again, many thanks. You’re a gem.
Pretty good on the harmonica also. Hew was a keyboard player with the group Al Stewart. Check out the song On the border by Al Stewart. This song made me a huge fan of Peter White. He is simply amazing. Had the chance of seeing him three times and I would really like to see him again. Another one of my favourites is the late Jeff Golub (electric guitar); check out his music.
Hello Carol! Was it the Christmas Concert with his friends Lindsey Webster, Vincent Ingala and Euge Groove? Each one an excellent musician. Besides, Peter is a great entertainer. Merry Christmas!
@@carolmchugh7617 - I also attended that concert and LOVED it, as I always do whenever I've seen Peter's performances. Two Christmases ago I attended the Dave Koz Christmas show at the Sottish Rite Auditorium in NJ. The performers included Dave Koz, Peter White, Rick Braun, David Benoit, etc... can you IMAGINE THAT LINEUP!!?? The most talent-packed show I have ever had the privilege to attend. Ever. They opened the show with Winter Wonderland and couldn't have made a better choice - instantly put e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e in a holiday mood. Even better, all of the guys interacted liberally with the audience throughout the show and that made it even more of a magic holiday evening. Peter, I've been a fan of yours since your days with Al Stewart... your talent is unequalled.
As a fan of Peter White and a professional filmmaker/videographer, I find this video disappointing. Just recording it in HD is not enough. Peter White's lighting is washed out, so is the saxophonist while the audio is simply recorded from the camera microphone which is very flat and all over the place. Peter White deserves more than this amateur video/audio
Hi Chainmail Films! I understand very well that you would like to have better picture and sound quality. I am a Peter White fan and professional filmmaker myself (22 years of TV production). Unfortunately, professional filming was neither desired nor allowed at this festival. Moreover, I had traveled to the festival as a concert guest, not as a film professional. I regret myself that there is no better recording of this concert. Although the video was originally intended only as a personal souvenir, more than 14000 TH-camrs have now enjoyed it and many have thanked me for it. That makes me happy. Maybe you ask Peter White why there are no professional concert recordings of him. Maybe you can do business with him. I would be pleased ;-)
We're all fans of Peter White and of smooth jazz, and we all lament not getting concert quality recordings of their live work, but this event is no different than those on You Tube featuring any one of the hundreds of smooth jazz artists. Unless the filming is pre-arranged and coordinated and there is money involved and written agreements/waivers, etc. between fest sponsors/promoters, artists, local authorities, it isn't going to happen, and you know that. Don't know what your point is. I'd bet it is more to inject ill will for no good reason.
Hallo Knut! Recht hast Du.
It's so many Saxaphone players now it's ridiculous too many way way way too many I don't know how these guys are making a living off of them...Gerald albrightb..Kirk whalem...euge groove ..Boney James..Eric marianthal...Jeff Ryan..Eric Darius..jazzmen Ghent...Paul Taylor...David sandborn ..Candy dulfer..Mindy Adair...Dave koz ..Richard Elliot..Darren ran....Najee ..see its Flooded its just too much way too many
Hi Leon, especially in SMOOTH JAZZ, saxophonists are very dominant in terms of quantity, I agree. But I doubt that they can all make a living from concert performances. In general, it is becoming more and more difficult for musicians. While profits for the music industry have never been higher thanks to streaming, musicians are largely left out in the cold. Sure, it's possible that Peter White will pull you on stage one day, but don't expect to get rich after that. Have fun and lots of good music!

So ne geile Musik und dann leider nur ein Raummikro als Ton.
