The cause doesn't determine whether a person is good or bad. It's their actions. Saving your people is fine, but not at the expense of other's lives. By your logic, Hitler, Mao Zedong, and other killers did nothing wrong.
Namor is the first true mutant to appear in MCU, fittingly since his comic book counterpart was also one of the first mutants to appear in Marvel's publication history. Namor has the distinction of being the final main antagonist in a Phase Four film. Namor is additionally the third MCU main antagonist of Phase 4 to kill a family member of the main character after Dreykov and the Green Goblin.
Namor was not the first mutant in comic books. When he was introduced in 1939 he was simply a "sub-mariner", later revealed to be from the lost city of Atlantis. He wouldn't be revealed to be a mutant until much much later. If you look at it with today's eyes, yes, he's the first mutant character in Marvel's publication history, but that's still a retcon, so in my opinion it shouldn't count. The first time mutants are ever introduced as mutants in comic books is with the first issue of X-Men in the 60s.
There were characters described as mutants before the X-men. There were a few on them in the 1950’s when Marvel was called Atlas Comics. The most significant pre-X-Men mutant published under the name Marvel Comics was in 1962. He was called a mutant and everything. The characters name was Tad Carter. His father was exposed to atomic bomb radiation, and that was the catalyst for his later mutant powers that kicked at the age of 12. He was a telepath telekinetic. The character even appeared in an X-Men comic a few years later. ✌️
