    Prologue is a wonderful synthesizer. It sounds and looks good. Thank you for showing us how to use it.

    I'm having trouble figuring out what holding shift and changing shape of the vpm does. I am pretty new and might need a really simple explanation for that if you have time, thanks you :)

      You can find a nice manual, which covers everything of this synth on the korg website😉

      It sets the ratio of the carrier-to-modulator's frequency [Chowning FM theory], resulting in harmonic and other periodic changes.

    What were you thinking when you decided to limit the number of LFOs to one, have that one LFO not be able to modulate only one single oscillator’s pitch, and hardwire the analog outputs through the digital outputs of the fx?
    I just want to know your thought process. You were all at a meeting where you all said, “excellent ideas!” ?

    Had enough resolution to read any of the labels on the controls. This is 2022 there’s no excuse for this low Rez

    The Pologue is awesome, but I'm hoping for more Wavestate tutorials and demos please ;)

    Hi, I was curious to understand what a prologue 16 can do in terms of voices that an 8 can't. Could you point out any video to understand the difference? That would be great

    Hey guys I’d like to know where I can find specific documentation on firmware 2.0. I’d like to understand how to access the new arpeggiator features and also how to program aftertouch through MIDI.

    So Unison mode isn't poly unison like on the Jupiter 8 it's just monophonic?

    Is it possible to get a harmonic throat singing sound using (ratio) behind the pads?

    Is it possible to have one "attack/decay/sustain/release" setting on one oscillator and another setting on the other oscillator at the same time?

    • @moogy77
      @moogy77 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      YES
      Get the sound you like, then put the Prologue in a layer mode and use the same sound on the other layer. Then use the toggle switch to choose between the sets and set different attacks, then save it.

    *sigh*
    Why oh why Korg did you only include only the lone LFO - and much worse, a crippled LFO because it can only modulate ONE TARGET AT A TIME..in your 'flagship synth'?!?
    Your own friggin microkorg, or a Juno from 1981 or just about ANY other polysynth can modulate PWM and vibrato at the same time, and many more things - but the 2020'Pro'-logue? Forget it, chumps.
    Looping EG to use as LFO? Nope, forget that too. Just 2 bog-standard ADSRs, unipolar(+) only.
    Such a shame because it looks great and sounds almost there but for coming up so painfully short on the slower modulation ability.

      @@holygeneration7 to use the filter and fx of the prologue...doubles it as a synth and fx unit. I wish it had it also. My moog matriarch has it and it's awesome to be able to run external sound through filter and delay!

    I absolutely love my Prologue. Except the front of it. It curves upwards so I can't put it on a slanted shelf on a keyboard stand as I'm terrified it will slide off. What a truly stupid design. Also... KORG... STOP BEING STINGY WITH AFTERTOUCH! I mean, the $2600 nautilus doesn't even have it and $500 Behringers do. wtf?

    • @kaibarrera9911
      @kaibarrera9911 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bro how slanted is that shelf? 90 degrees? 😂 its literally on a slanted stand in the video.

    • @veganchris2923
      @veganchris2923 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kaibarrera9911 like 45. It stays, but barely. Like… I don’t trust it. It’s one of those On Stage 3 tier A Frame ones and there is just a peg in front. The peg top JUST touches the lip. That’s a dumb design either way. I don’t understand Korg sometimes. They insist on using that metal where all fingerprints show. They are in absolute denial that their customers want aftertouch. And they have made some of the ugliest boards ever made in the past ten years… the Grandstage and the Nautilus, for example. Just boxy, boring looking turds.
