Love those and the older ones. New ones are no longer truck platform due to not having solid rear axle. I own GMT400(96 Silverado Z71),GMT800(05 Suburban Z71),GMT900(07 Yukon SLT4x4) the burb has 360k miles still trucking, the Yukon has 230k miles and still truckin, Silverado is custom and mileage N/A.
I really, really like the Yukon, and the Yukon is what set my dad into the car shopping mode when we got our Enclave, too bad the one he saw had way too many miles on it.
I'm currently in west palm beach florida. I have noticed with that truck it kinda does that whine in first gear like the older fords did the 4.6's. Interesting. I would highly consider owning one, when I'm out of my current lease of course
All that I'm seeing in west palm ironically enough are yukons yukon xl's and tahoes. Not bad choices tho. Got an opportunity to drive it, gotta say big difference from my daily driver "which is a civic" lol very smooth ride easy to drive I just love sitting higher up love the ground clearance. Truck feels very safe too
That's not surprising at all... Seems to be the same down here. They're great travel vehicles! I'd gladly drive one. However, i think I prefer the 2004-2006 generation a little bit more.
These are just great mom vans of the 21st century. Also they are the best if you do a lot of traveling. You can't go wrong getting one of these to tow your boat to the lake and shove the whole family in too
If you don't care for the bells and whistles of the new gen you can pick one of these up for a fair price. At the end of the day its a truck that designed to move people/cargo and it does that well.
As far as I know, XL's and Suburbans have always had the capability of rolling the rear window completely down. I think it's just the SWB models that don't have that.
My grandpa used to have an 85 Suburban with an electric window. You put the lock key (there used to be two keys; one for locks and one for ignition) in the tailgate and turn and the electric motor would roll it up and down.
If you ask me, especially towards the end of its cycle these trucks are nowhere near worth the 50,000+ price tag depending on which one you get. I'm glad they redesigned it but these should have had an extensive refresh done probably back in 2011 or 2012 when GM had recovered from the big financial crisis, which is something the interiors on these trucks reflect back when they were first released.
I think my uncles 2010 ford expedition Max had more room but then again I have only been in a Yukon once and that was just last year and it was a 2008 or 09 and I think the horse power ratings on that 5.3 are 302 horse and 350 torque I am not a hundred percent sure but that`s what the dealer said when I had my old gmc which was in 2011 and that`s also what my friend said who has a 2011 it had 302 horse and 350 torque but I am not sure any more as they did give it more horse power this year but I am a ford guy now as I had to much problems with my gmc but great review any ways! :)
This model does have hands free, press and hold the audio mute button. Coming back to this video to see if we want to trade in our Pilot for our second Yukon

One of the first times I visited America we were in Houston and my family rented a black Yukon XL. Couldn’t get a more American welcome than that

GMC calls this particular color, "onyx black," I believe. Beautiful truck indeed...
My family and I are currently renting a silver yukon xl slt while we're on vacation. Love it!, first time in one too
Awesome!! They're great trucks. Where at on vacation?

On, nice!! My family & I are in Destin until Saturday. And yes, I definitely notice what you mean about the whine.

Definitely agree!
Nice video. Our 2006 Yukon just crapped with 260k miles and I am getting one of these to replace it.

I think you're right.. If I remember correctly, our Yukon XL in Utah was able to do that as well.
that's true. last year I owned a 2010 Tahoe and the rear windows only rolled down half ways and now I own a 2014 Yukon xl, and it's waayyyy better

Great Review! Love are XLT
SLT* XLT Is for Ford's Expedition.
What a bunch of idiots complaining about what's on the sound system. Thanks for a great demonstration of the Yukon great vehicle. Love mine.

Who would've thought that would be a good idea and people would appreciate it! Love the sarcasim!=p
How much does a used GMC Yukon XL cost, (In Average?) Give me an estimate.
A newer one is usually around 35k-45k depending on mileage, condition, and options.
Nice car! I used to want a silver XL with the black interior. Great cars. Or trucks I guess? Haha
Damn you just perfectly described my family’s yukon xl
@@j_rivera2007 my dad has a 2013 6.2 please don’t put synthetic oil in there it costed us 10k for a engine

whats all that noise???
It *should* have the same Bluetooth that our Enclave has, and also has OnStar.
Best car
Professional grade my ass. lol
The Yukon Denali, I think, has much more of a defined growl than the XL SLT-1
Yup. That's the difference between the 5.3 in the SLT and the 6.2 in the Denali.
You can just say that none of the copyrights to the music is owned by you in the bio
The color is Onyx Black
👍💛 GMC yukon xl slt truck
Gmc's name for black is onyx black.
Cadillac's name for black is black raven.
Ah. Thank you!!
I have a backup camera in my 2011 chevy silverado

The reason that the key says Chevy is cuz GMC and Chevy is the same company
My mom has this car. But it's white.
