God, this level.. I had a crush on Spyro when I was little. I am not a furry or anything, but you know, I was just a 6-7 year old kid. When I played this level for the first time and saw the fairy kissing Spyro... I started crying. I cried so hard, my parents noticed it and kept asking me what's wrong, but I was too embarrased to tell them. I can imagine how freaked out they were. I think that's when my heart got broken for the first time, hahahah
I just can imagine Spyro with his face full of kiss marks returning to the purple fairy over and over again despite he already destroyed all those giant knights xD
My sister was the one to finally find Copano. She’s like “I’m pretty sure I saw a ledge over there… let’s go for it!” And went for it she did! Way back before TH-cam.. she has/had masterful gamer skill. Best times ever.
Man, this level was so aggravating. I could hear and even see that last dragon clipping through the ceiling but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to access it. I was trying to pull a U-turn and head back up the supercharge ramp but evidently that wasn't how it was meant to be done. Thanks for posting this
Dude same. The GameFAQs guides at the time poorly explained it. One day, I found a website that actually showed pictures and that's how I 100%ed the game. I feel old.
1:50 *Kosoko sounds like Mr Crocker from Fairly Oddparents since he says all dragons know there’s magic in a fairy’s kiss I bet he’s gonna say FAIRY GODPARENTS 😂😂😂😂*
I couldn't find it as a kid (only level I couldn't complete) and I just recently completed the game without a guide. It's only taken me about 13 years haha
I remember the first time I ever nailed that supercharge as a pre-teen; I had been trying to figure it out for roughly 6-7 years. When I finally got it, I turned left to look at the dragon...then decided to go right because, hey what could be worse than that supercharge? Then I died to the large armored knights cause I wasn't fast enough. Obviously shoulda freed the dragon first, lmao.
Before I owned Spyro the Dragon I watched my friend's big brother playing this particular level. He wondered how to find that hidden dragon. Later when I got this game I was stuck on the same level. Then I remembered my friend's brother who was also struggling with Haunted Towers. I asked my friend if his brother had found the dragon. He said yes he promised to ask his brother how to find it. Later that afternoon I received a phone call from my friend and he revealed the Supercharger trick. This is how we beat games back then if we got stuck. No TH-cam and not many people had Internet. Yet if you found a walkthrough it was hard to understand for a 11-year-old kid who doesn't speak English as native language. It was always about gaming magazines and mouth-to-mouth information.
Yup, I remember those days too. I still remember being told about jumping on the stones in the artisans homeworld by a friend when I was younger. The pure excitement I felt when I saw them start flashing yellow, and the wall dropping to reveal a secret level was unbeatable!
This was the main reason as a 5 yr old kid, that I could never beat these games. I always got stuck. I don't think I ever got past the 2nd world when I played. I'm 23 now and playing for the nostalgia and just to finally say I've played it all the way through.
Hey you should still be proud about that. I didnt even finish the video since i just read the comment instead and FINALLY 100% the level. Thanks for the tip bro!
Jesus, after all those years at the of 3, I've been trying to find this missing dragon and it's such a pain in the ass. Now I know how to find it. Thanks, man.
Best music for any level in any Spyro game. So vibrant, the buildup is gorgeous and it works amazingly with the atmosphere. Fireworks Factory from Spyro 3 comes at a close second.
Thanks playing this game again after a long long time. Forgot how to get the last gems and dragon. Was trying to use the little round about but very difficult to turn and kept dying.
Love the Gnorc-Adiers with Grenades/Bombs. Charging them, makes me laugh, when the Grenades/Bombs explodes. Great memories for the playing of the game.
I remembered this level years ago. The last dragon was really hard to get back then. Years later until I found out how to get the last dragon. All because I was supposed to super charge on the ramp to jump outside to reach the last dragon. Anyways, old memories, but this level is a bit tedious years later because of getting the last dragon.
Ridiculously good looking for a PS1 game. Insomniac with Spyro and Naughty Dog with Crash made some great engines to pump out these clean graphics without the choppy frame rates or texture warping of most other PS1 games
I have been trying to get up that f****** staircase with the suits of armor for the past hour and I have come to the conclusion that it can't be done. I'm playing it in ePSXe 1.9.0 and no matter how fast I do it, the last one animates before I can even get to the frigging doorway. Half the time, the two at the top of the stairs are standing before I can even get to the top. Something has to be wrong, because I've done it perfectly, faster than in this video and it never f****** works!
nialinius Yes, I was using a controller and I eventually got past it, although it was much harder than it should have been. You HAVE to use the dask to shave off time, but you can't jump while dashing, so you have to dash, stop, then jump and if you're off by even a split second, it doesn't work, the suits wake up and you have to reset the whole thing and try again. Even so, I swear it looks easier in the video than it actually was to do. I barely managed to get past the one in the doorway.
On Christmas like 12 years ago my 40 years old uncle called my brother's 16 years old friend to get to know where the last dragon was in order to complete the game. One of my best childhood memories.
while i was re-playing this game i came to this video for some help and i found out i had been doing things the extremely hard way. was using super charge to destroy this seemingly impossible metal chest thing and succeeded but at the cost of like 5 lives when i didn't know there was a fairy close by and i killed several enemies the very hard way and other things. i had no idea there was the infinite super flame
I used to have a copy of this game where this level didn't work because the disc was scratched. Because of that I used to think of this as "the missing level"
Context is always nice. I commented in another video that I found the hardest part of the game to be the Supercharge segment of this level. I named the level "Lofty Towers" and am trying to cover my ass.
I was never able to beat this level, so I'm going to watch and see where all you go to see if it was something I didn't see no matter how many times I came back to this level or if my game was a messed up version.. probably the first one haha
I agree. You see all these people posting how they completed this when they were 5 and im calling bs. I know when i was 9 playing the third spyro i got stuck on stuff like this or chasing the egg guys. Even the adults i asked for help who played video games would sometimes take forever to get past a part. Its not that easy. And for the weird hidden cliffs like what are these people just kamakazee-ing off rabdom places and happening to find these?
I presume that if one doesn't manage to pass through that last knight before he formes up (in the super-fairy part), you have to restart the level? O.o
If you go down the hole that takes you back down a floor and supercharge your way back up to that area again, the armors will reset so the player isn't stuck =)
How did Spyro keep the super flame so long? I keep needing to get more fairy kisses. You are very fast. A fear of heights is not good. I also get confused of where I am going if I go too fast.
The yellow fairy in the secret top room gives you an infinite super flame that lasts until you die or leave the level. The purple fairies are on a time limit
It pains everyone that history repeats itself as knights in armor dominate over the dragons. However, dragons being empowered by magic, such as fairies, would change history for the sake of all dragons.
There's a frog at the beginning that is the trigger to switch the fairy from flying in circles to kissing for fire breath. If you charge it off the edge, it gives its gem, but it gets locked in a continuous fall, and never triggers the switch. You can proceed with the level by skipping the guard and flying to the whirlwind, finish the level, exit, and re-enter and try again.
I'm playing the game right now and i can't make it past the stairs! It's making me so mad because I'm doing what you're doing and charging, then jumping and i still can't make it and i keep falling every time i make it past the two limp knights and it beats me (as in all the knights come alive and i cant make it past the knight by the door) so i have to restart omg am i just really stupid? I need help 😭😭
Not really, Tree Tops you just had to chase after the thieves to get to the hard spots and I actually figured that out all on my own even back when my 6 year old self didn't know guides were a thing. This level on the other hand gives you no hints or guidance of how to get to that hidden area and to that I had to look up a guide.
the yellow fairy give her superflame powerup. When Spyro have this powerup, he's red. Since the yellow fairy give him the powerup with no time limit, he's red for ever. (Until he leaves the level)
That moment when you watch a clip from original Spyro game to finish a level in remastered version in 2018
God, this level.. I had a crush on Spyro when I was little. I am not a furry or anything, but you know, I was just a 6-7 year old kid. That is so adorable. 😊
Raptorus TV you wanted to kill that fairy didn't you
Raptorus TV
I mean he isn't a animal, so you wouldn't turn into a furry, but besides the point, but that's such a childhood story. 😭
I think that makes you a scaly
I just can imagine Spyro with his face full of kiss marks returning to the purple fairy over and over again despite he already destroyed all those giant knights xD
The skybox in this level is incredible
My sister was the one to finally find Copano. She’s like “I’m pretty sure I saw a ledge over there… let’s go for it!” And went for it she did! Way back before TH-cam.. she has/had masterful gamer skill. Best times ever.
Took me and my dad years to find him ! We could always hear the shaking but had no idea where he was
1:50 typical D bag dragon placement giving you advice you'd already have to use by that point to reach him

Love the design on this level, but those giant knights were SO frustrating years ago...
One of my favorite levels in the game! Took me a while to figure out how to get to that last dragon
I came here looking for the way I couldn't find as a kid
I couldn't find it as a kid (only level I couldn't complete) and I just recently completed the game without a guide. It's only taken me about 13 years haha
Glad to know I'm not the only one who couldn't find it as a kid lol

One of my favorite levels in the whole game and I just played this game recently
Jesus, after all those years at the of 3, I've been trying to find this missing dragon and it's such a pain in the ass. Now I know how to find it. Thanks, man.
This was my favorite level of all time. I always loved the different rooms, the scenery and the enemies. It was just a blissful, unforgettable level.
krissyfandubs2
Absolutely!
Now THIS is my all time favorite level. Probably due to the abundance of Superflame Fairies.
Best music for any level in any Spyro game. So vibrant, the buildup is gorgeous and it works amazingly with the atmosphere. Fireworks Factory from Spyro 3 comes at a close second.
That must have been a good kiss from a fairy to make it last the rest of the level
I like how he avoids the other fairy's kiss because it will have a time limit again. 😂😂😂
Thanks playing this game again after a long long time. Forgot how to get the last gems and dragon. Was trying to use the little round about but very difficult to turn and kept dying.
It took me a few years to master the supercharge to reach Copano and that gold fairy for infinite superflame for as long as you stay in the level.
Love the Gnorc-Adiers with Grenades/Bombs. Charging them, makes me laugh, when the Grenades/Bombs explodes. Great memories for the playing of the game.
Am I the only one who noticed that the Gnorcs now throw bombs instead of grenades?
im trying to finish 100% this and the level of complexity this got on the last 2 realms is CRAZY
Oh, I had no idea how the reach the area where the dragon Copano was. Thanks, dude

13 year old video and still a life saver lmaoo
The fairy at 4:12 must have given him tongue.. xD

Haunted towers.
planet: earth🌎.
realm: dragon realms🐉.
element: magic✨.
terrain: sky🌌.
I love it when the gnorcs goes bleh
“Mouthful of Super Sugar”
it made me feel special when the faries kissed me
In my opinion, Haunted Towers is by far the hardest stage in Spyro the Dragon Game.
I'd say tree tops, both hard though
I'm looking up these original Spyro to see how it compares with Reignited. I only played completed Ripto's Rage when I was little.
I've never played any of the classic Spyro games until Reignited Trilogy, but I could've sworn I played this level at some point when I was a kid.
I always remembered that one being a doozy. You could hear it, but you could never find it.
I used to have a copy of this game where this level didn't work because the disc was scratched. Because of that I used to think of this as "the missing level"
It's cheap on the PlayStation network lol
The ones on Amazon is cheap
Yeah, it's available on PSN but is still emulated and lags compared to the hard copy on disc.
hace 12 años q espero encontrar el tercer dragon y no podia, muchas gracias
Jump while running, keep holding square when you're landing.
The gnorcs with swords hop!
When you cant remember if you played spyro 1 or 2 :/ Was the kissing fairy in Ripto's rage too?
Amen, brother.
i really wished there was a hack to get both this lila overflame and permanent flying.
thx for the hint with the supercharge... that was the only dragon i still needed :p
I remembered NONE of this and i know i did it because i got to gnastys loot at the very end of the game..... I'm so confused lol
damn i knew it demanded supercharge to get here :P
Context is always nice. I commented in another video that I found the hardest part of the game to be the Supercharge segment of this level. I named the level "Lofty Towers" and am trying to cover my ass.
Okay, yeah, this is totally Lofty Towers. I made no mistake whatsoever.
this level was the reason why i never saw gnastys loot! :-(

07:41 is that the only way to get him???
lol, here? again! I haven't learnt anythng cuz still had som problems :P this game drives me crazy
..no its still going...how!
The gnorcs drink bombs!
How is a reasonable person supposed to figure that out? It's not telegraphed at all.
I agree. You see all these people posting how they completed this when they were 5 and im calling bs. I could never get that last dragon, all these years later and I intend to find out
Reignited is a fun remake and looks nice, but the charm of the original is completely gone. I miss this vapporwavey aesthetic and the OG sounds
Haunted towers es mi nivel favorito
That last dragon...

The yellow fairy in the secret top room gives you an infinite super flame that lasts until you die or leave the level. The purple fairies are on a time limit
morning wood fairies
You pro you :P
LEAST FAVORITE LEVEL!
It pains everyone that history repeats itself as knights in armor dominate over the dragons. However, dragons being empowered by magic, such as fairies, would change history for the sake of all dragons.
I comleted this level and I only find 499 gems... and I searched the whole map 3times but nothing. I don't know the problem...
This stuff ain't easy.
Lol this level is glitched for me. The first fairy is running in circles from nothing. The frog isn't even there.
that's happening to me too
There's a frog at the beginning that is the trigger to switch the fairy from flying in circles to kissing for fire breath.

You fall into the sun
I have noticed the same thing (that Spyro falls into the sun). I have always wondered if Spyro got burned when he fell into the sun.
4:12 KISS

KISSSSS
Untill he finds a dragon..

Same thing happening to me, can reach the gold fairy before the last knight comes alives. I give up
My options are black ops 2 or Spyro the Drgon...Sorry blops, Spyro has to kick some Gnasty ass!!
