This is the first portable bandsaw I’ve ever had. In the past I would use a hacksaw. I found this at Home Depot on a super deal and I couldn’t pass it up. I’ve found that I use this more and more . Super quick, super easy, and convienant. I’d buy it again in a heart beat.
Dewalt atomic or the dewalt brushed 1 that is also 2 1/2" capacity? Should def beat atomic as its a class up but i wanna know bout the brushed 1 myself as i would like an upgrade in that size class and since i do have some m12
Do they make a blade for cutting stainless. Half of my cutting would be 1/8 inch angle iron, the other half would be 2" stainless tubes. Thanks in advanve
Any tool with a spring loaded lock to activate the trigger gets a hole drilled and a cotter pin to lock it open for me lol these 2 1/2" compact is my favorite size and power for compact bandsaws. Definitely doesnt replace a full size deep cut but these smaller ones are nice to have too
I noticed you sprayed WD-40 on the final cut. Does the enclosed design keep the blade from slipping off? With the m18 deep it bandsaw I would sometimes have to cut pipe that has a bit of oil or salt water and especially with oil it would make the blades pop off like crazy.
Would love to see this up against dewalts 2 1/2" 20v that is brushed NOT there 20v atomic that is smaller. Honestly dont like the atomic that much not enough power. Dewalt needs a new brushless model that is this 2 1/2 size. Wouldn't mind the m12 its better then the dewalt as i do have some m12. Would jus love to know if new brushless 12v can beat old brushed 18v
There any other places to buy better blades? I feel like the DeWalt would save on time and money, this seems like blades will cost you a lot unless company provides you with blades.
@@UPdan situational. Tight areas, easy access, no real setup like a chop saw. Many benefits to using something like this but I would say it depends on the situation and what tools you already have
@@UPdanclean cuts of conduit, strut etc easier to lug around the job site than the huge fucking bandsaw I already own, and then why would you need something bigger to cut 3/4 or 1/2 in
this tool is suitable for the trash, the blades in this device last two weeks and not two months as in the previous generation. The designers of this device thought well of the company how to earn from customers.
You don’t know how much you need a portable bandsaw until you have one

How much??
I’ve had that bandsaw for at least 6 months and I love it. cuts way faster then the dewalt
Faster than the dewalt atomic one?
My question also

That’s a quality saw for a relatively cheap price. I’m impressed!
can you lock on or do you have to hold the trigger?

We hear ya. Yes, these smaller M12 saws are very handy, but when you need a deep cut, you need a deep cut. Thanks for watching.

The oil is to keep the blade cool. The hotter the blade, the more likely it is to snap
I have the midsize m18 one and it's great but it's pretty heavy for one handed use in the air for me
Many reviewers on the HD website hate the safety switch and want to go back to the older model. I would just bypass the button.
how was the blade after these cuts? i bought one and the blade was trashed after a very mild work day
I purchased this bandsaw lately…I find the blades are awful…and hand full of cuts and the blades are dull
I can't wait till mine comes I need it for 1/2 EMT, deep channel and 1/2 and 3/4" rigid.
Can it cut 1/4 inch angle iron that’s 4inch?
I have the old m12, definitely getting this one and the larger capacity m18.

What do you use this for? Pipe?
There's a lot of better choices. I put this into the category of "why?".
I use mine for conduit and strut
