    This is beautiful and thank you so much for sharing. I would love to make one or more of these for myself. I am a good chunk Passamaquoddy and have always been fascinated by anything Native American. I have a little Irish and Scottish as well so that explains other interests I have always had. *grin* - Heidi

    chokers made by me are with real Eagle Bones - the bone located under the center flight bone - just about finished the Eagle bone Brest plate or chest plate as some would say - took 200 Eagles to make the front - 150 to make the back and 50 to make the 2 sides - will post some videos and photos of it finished - Eagles will be returning next few weeks and the work looking for sick Eagles in the forest will start again - rescued 10 last season - so far rescued over 70 past 16 years - love your videos

    Great tutorial. Better to see process in order than just puzzling it out from my 30+ yo choker!

    Thank you for the video , I am preparing for a event next months and plan on making several of these . I am also making smoking bags and pipes , I am also doing beaded ear rings with porcupine quills . I have gotten my supplies from Wandering Bull so far . But I am aways looking for new sources and supplies . I have a 4 strain chocker from the Mohawk Tribe outside of Montreal , when they blocked the bridge . Another time that whites tried taking form First Nation people . They was trying to take their pine Forrest ( The Lodge Pole Pines of the Mohawk Nation ) to build a golf course . I was given the choker for helping them . It has their Tribal Symbol stamped in the shield in the center . My grandmother was a Shoshone …

    Thank you for sharing! I had completely forgotten how to make one. Last time I made one was for my brotherinlaw and when he passed it came back to my husband. I am wondering tho, could I put a beaded edging on the part that holds the ties? I order my items from Crazy Crow and Fire Mountain. The latter has quite the selection of many millimeter beads. Again, thank you for sharing.

    Hello:
    I'm 75% Navajo and own an 18th. and 19th. century Period correct knife company. I've made a few chokers and I was wondering, where do you get your sinew? Is it real, or the nylon stuff? I've been using the artificial for years.
    Thank you.
    God bless:

      www.firemountaingems.com/shop/glass-beads-8mm_stringing_length. Fire Mountain has 8mm glass beads. www.crazycrow.com/beads Crazy Crow is another site. You can also Google search "8mm glass beads" or "8mm beads"

    At least ur not using crappy string . I see chokers made with string then after a while with ur sweat and heat the necklace just brakes then the bones and beads go everywhere

    How do you make a three row choker? I just finished making one for my art class and I watched your video for how to make it but I made by choker three rows instead of four and I improvised the ends 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @wahzhazheculturalcenter7546
      @wahzhazheculturalcenter7546  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are you confused about the spacer or tying the choker? For the spacer, cut if shorter or order 3 hole pre-punched spacers. About tying your choker, 1 row will just be 1 string tied on each side, creating a single row. Create the other 2 rows, as described in the video.

      @@wahzhazheculturalcenter7546 also I’m using sinew (I think that’s how you spell it) the holes I punched are too large for multiple knots, what do I do then?

    • @wahzhazheculturalcenter7546
      @wahzhazheculturalcenter7546  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@llw8845 Good question, you can tie onto an extra bead before you go through the holes you punched. tie around the bead and use that to anchor the sinew in place
