That soft rising buildup of the musical score at 0:55 to later then make such a grand entrance of an orchestra was just FANTASTIC. Bryan Tyler and Koji, your musical contributions brought this movie to life!
And the fact that the score includes callbacks to the original game scores (the main overworld theme mostly) makes it 10'000'000'000'000'000x better

I noticed something while I was watching the movie. Peach uses a power-up two times in the movie, and the power-ups that she uses are flower themed, and they are used when she is with the two characters who have feelings for her, Bowser and Mario.
When she is with Bowser, she uses an Ice Flower to freeze him and to show him that she will never marry a monster like him.
But when she is with Mario, she uses a Fire Flower while opening up to Mario about herself and her backstory, while subtly developing feelings for him.
It’s like she’s giving Bowser the cold shoulder while being warm towards Mario.
On a side note, she also force feeds them mushroom power-ups for different reasons. With Bowser, she force feeds him a Blue Mushroom, which shrinks him, so she can punish him for all the crimes he has done. But with Mario, she force feeds him a super Mushroom so she can help him overcome his shortcomings to rescue his brother.

And to add more to this, we also got how naturally Peach interacts with Mario after he and Donkey Kong manage to save Luigi, Cranky, and the other prisoners Bowser was going to execute. 3:20 is where it begins, with how we see him fuming when he sees how close Mario and Peach have gotten in such a short time before he manages to break his head loose from the ice, letting his fury show at Peach breaking his heart. We also see it in the Rainbow Road scene before Bowser sends his Koopa Troopas to go after Mario, Peach, Toad, and the Kong Army and his snarling as he watches Mario and Peach chat.

This film makes me love Princess Peach even more. And the way they humanized Mario and Luigi’s loving relationship as brothers.

Easily one of the best things about the movie. They feel and act like genuine brothers which is easy to mess in this day and age.
Its nice to see Mario and Luigi's relationship shown in this positive of a light. A lot of the games (And some fan theorist) are pretty good at making Mario seem indifferent to Luigi. Hopefully in the next movie, both brothers are actually working together so we can see more of them.
It seems very likely there WILL be a next movie seeing as how profitable/popular this one was.
I absolutely love their relationship in this movie, it's such a wholesome brotherly bond and seeing them kick the ass of the one that had separated them for so long was so satisfying.

This was my favorite scene. Seeing Peach square off with an army, freezing Bowser, and outright kicking butt is a side of her I've been wanting to see get some love.
Especially since she Evan had her own game where she saved Mario wish I could have played that!
We should get another Super Princess Peach.
I like how she handles a spear.
I hope this is how she'll be for now on, given how she's playable in Wonder and this new stand alone game starring her coming soon too.

You know what's ironic? Bowser spent the whole movie thinking that Mario's here to steal Peach's heart from him, when in reality, Mario only sought out Peach to seek her help in rescuing his brother Luigi from Bowser. Plus Mario and Peach only just met for the first time. However by kidnapping his brother Luigi with the threat to kill him to spite Mario and by threatening to destroy the Mushroom Kingdom should Peach refuse to marry him, Bowser ended up creating an adventure for Mario and Peach to bond over, and by trying to kill Mario so he can have Peach to himself, he ended up deepening the bond between Mario and Peach to the point where they are starting to flirt with each other and even hold hands, therefore setting the groundwork for their bond to blossom into romance in the future.
As Oogway himself said it, "One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it."

Mario DIDN'T crash Bowser's wedding. Peach did it all by herself.
Mario and Donkey Kong only went there to save the prisoners and to make sure the princess was okay.
(But saving the prisoners was their main objective.)
I like how Lumalee is comically having fun while not noticing of being dropped of into the lava while the other prisoners are panicking until they're saved by Mario and Donkey Kong.

Awesome one of the greatest scenes from the Mario Bros movie everything about this scene was great especially when Mario saved his brother from death. That was way too close. If Mario didn’t get that Tanooki Suit and save his brother, his brother would probably be dead. That was way too close.

It's nice to see them establish proper lore around how capable Peach is as a magic user, because it not only punches up the threat of Bowser and his forces (that they can even keep up with a literal archmage, much less actually pressure her into a corner), it also makes Mario's eventual triumph as a simple mortal man that much more spectacular. His struggle is that much more romantic now, because he's wading into a war between two forces he definitely wouldn't be able to contend with alone.
An angry, jealous Bowser smashing outta that ice is the best part!
Raccoon / Tanooki Mario from Super Mario Bros. 3 was always my favorite transformation. I'm glad he gets screen time and epic moments in this form.
