I'm English, but my wife is Spanish and so I've been used to her pointing out the weirdness of the English since the day we met. Because she's logical, I've had to take on board her critisisms, and so I've become like an outsider looking in. I agree with everything you said, and I display a lot of those traits. It would be fascinating to understand the reason for such idiosyncrasies.
@@scottgraham1143 It's great to read the point of view of someone directly involved in this! You are absolutely right: it would be amazing to know where all these traits stem from. As I mention in the video, I'm not sure it's even possible to find an answer, but I really hope someone does, and not just for England but for all countries and national traits. Italians have some bizarre elements to their identity, too, and I'd love to know why
