They would, but many of my fellow Americans sadly struggle with the math involved in 501. Moreover, I think the strategy involved in cricket excites us more over here in the great U.S of A.

@donbaxley5530 Real dart game? Is that why this stuff happens in hotel conference rooms on TH-cam and 501 happens on big stages and broadcast on TV around the world?
What does where a game is played have anything to do with the fun or challenge of anything? The PDC controls darts in Europe. The rest of the world plays more cricket than 01. 01 is mixed with cricket and makes for great tournaments! Either by themselves gets pretty monotonous! As money grows and darts in Asia spreads the PDC might start mixing cricket too. But my guess is they will fight it strongly because it is an American game. Also there is no doubt the top steel tip players can beat easily the top soft tip players anytime but I enjoy a good cricket game on an electronic machine much more than watching steel tip being played. Gosh, I've never had the honour of meeting a TRUE darts fan before! Someone who understands that the most popular form of the game in the world isn't even real darts! Someone who is just SO COOL because they prefer something other than the most popular thing! Your cred is amazing!
Well, thank you! However Cricket is the most played game in the world not 01. So why do you think that? 01 is in Europe for sure and on steel tip boards. But in Asia and North America soft tip darts is dominate and Cricket is the most played game. The PDC controls steel tip and since Cricket is an American invented game refuses to introduce it. Oh before you give some smart ass answer I know steel tip is a much more accurate game no doubt about that. However soft tip is again the most played system there is. Only in Europe with a small population of players do they predominately shoot on steel tip boards. In America alone there are over 50,000 active soft tip board being played on and if you go into a facility with electronic boards most of the time Cricket is being played and almost always by seasoned players. In Europe only a few hundred active boards if that? Been there so I know first hand! So get your head out of your butt and learn some facts. The PDC is only a small group of players that control steel tip play in their events. I will admit Cricket on a steel tip board is not much fun to play for the average player. It is tough for the average player. The electronic boards far surpass steel tip for casual player enjoyment! And if you get the chance to go to Korea or Japan look around at the dart community and tournaments. They play a mix of 501, 701 and Cricket which in my opinion is the way to go! 501 all day is like watching paint dry! @@user-ed7ur4fn6c
@donbaxley5530 darts is a steel tip game but just like everything America ruins a sport and pushes it on rest of the world. Your shitty soft tip maybe more popular in states but the real money, real tournaments better fans and players all move to UK or Europe. It's amateur in America

I don’t get how u can score off something you’ve already ticked off? Thought u just had to hit each number 3 times?
Hitting 3 times opens the number, once it's open you can score against it till your opponent hits it 3 times and sloses it.Still baffles me why Fallon didn't close the 20 on leg 2. I know she still won but one dart to cut off Sandy's scoring line would have been huge.

No because Darts isnt a huge sport in the US and therefore the competition pool is spread farther apart.

The game of Cricket will be played with a double Bull’s Eye.
The object will be to close the numbers 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15 and Bull’s Eye in any order before your opponent(s). The player/team that closes all numbers and the Bull’s Eye first, and has a greater or equal point score, wins.

Why does fallon never wear socks
Here's what I noticed:
1. Fallon should have realized she was a full notch better than her opponent. As such, She should have closed that 20 FAR FAR earlier in Leg 2 and dared her opponent to open a new number. You should almost never leave the 20s open against a player who plays 98% 501 because it is going to be their best number. Make them point you on ANYTHING else, especially 16/15.
2. It seemed like when Fallon won the legs, she was not sure she HAD won. This shows a lot of cricket inexperience. You need to know exactly what you need to win when you get on the line....nothing to question....she needed like points (1 bull) in that third leg and she hits it and then hesitates like, "Did I win?"
When playing cricket, it is important to have an idea when the game STARTS of "Am I better than this player?" because it will (should) affect your strategy and how much yyou respect the opponent thru the game as it develops.
3. How can they be in the finals and NOT KNOW they are playing 3/5 and not 2/3?? This shows poor prep and a total lack of commitment. In fact, it SAYS 'Race to 3 legs' RIGHT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SCOREBOARD..........

Think Fallon doesn't know the strategy of the game well, that it why she left that 20 open. However, she is also excellent player, so she could rely on her ability to hit big numbers later in game

There's absolutely no follow through on Sandy Hudson's throw. There's too much movement with the arm it's all wrong. You don't see many professional darts players pointing at their target with the dart before they throw. That's why most players don't do it. Fallon doesn't do it because she doesn't need to. Compare the two ladies throws they are completely opposite ends of the spectrum.
There is no „wrong“ in throwing your darts. whatever suits you best
