The standards are ridiculous. Not only has Luke Littler pushed darts to new heights, but all the other top players are stepping up their game too, Searle included. What a finale.
Nah, thats defintely not standard. Example average Semfinal:
Littler 89 - Soutar 88
Searle 92 - van Veen 82
Littler won 7 games: 105.5, 97.8, 94.5, 109, 100.7, 89.7, 109.6

Well the average of the entire PC1 and PC2 was just above 91. Usually these are between 92-93, especially rising towards the end of the year, where most of the majors are.

Its also becsuse its only to 8 legs all the highest 3 dart records ate over less than 10 leg to the winner. Has snyone been watching beue greaves young lass came through with littler most of his jr wins she csme 2nd thrres no teason she doesn't cone thru snd win stuff. I watched a 701 doubles with in jer in it the other day which was funny because the other 3 didnt get a score ove 100 between them and greaves hit 3 180s in a row on her turns. She also won 5.0 and every leg was 11 darts or under in snother match. Mark my words shes only young so plenty of time

Unbelievable. Bennet hits a Nine-Darter to be the youngest guy to do that on the ProTour and 53 min later the record is gone to Littler. And then he wins his first title on his first attempt. This Guy is just unreal.

There has been a seismic shift in darts and its got me back into watching darts again, I love watching Littler play, what a star, I think he will win tommorrow as well. Great to see new players playing well and fair play to Ryan for making it an awesome final, he was good all day.

An absolute pleasure watching Luke Littler flourish so early in his PDC career. Credit to Searle also, he was outstanding there. Love the pace these two play at. Darts, what a sport.
Phil taylor said watch luke littler and I'm so glad I did once every 10 years a legend comes along and here he is
Really hope Ryan can win a major pdc event in the future, solid player and seems a genuine top guy

One of the best matches I've ever seen. Everyone chirping on about Littler, and absolutely rightly so. But wow, Searle was an absolute powerhouse this game, and a testament to his mentality sticking in there smashing darts non-stop. Not many (barely any) players ever could have took Littler to a last leg with this quality. Great stuff.

Luke's finishing is just amazing and that's going to do him well on the circuit. We know a lot of players can score and they have a day of good finishing but nothing like this kid just amazing and doesn't matter the situation his finishing whether double or Bullseye he hits

It's not about who has the biggest or who is the best ever. Luke, Phil, MvG and a few others are simply excellent darts players. Just have a bit of respect for them and for yourselves. Apart from that, enjoy the show and be happy that you can witness these performances.

What a great game. Most legs were 12/13 darters. I thought Searl had Littler when he broke and levelled 7all. Littler played a cracking last leg but I have to say Searl bottled it a bit.

Lots of deserved praise for Littler but props to Searle. No matter how hard Littler went, Searle was just about able to hang on and stay with him and could have nicked it in the final leg. It would have been so easy to collapse after seeing the standard Littler was setting but Searle kept finding a new gear every time he needed to.
Look at the form everyone has to show to even keep up with him, he is dragging everyones standards up with him. Transforming darts

All PDC events should be in front of crowds.
Try and work out why with 128 players and multiple boards that isn’t feasible.

Without doubt. Jheez, I have been watching since the early 1980's. Eric the King passed the baton on to Phil the power Taylor. The best thing they ever did was break away and form the PDC. Sky then took it to a new level and they haven't looked back since. Remember when 100 average was AMAZING and 9 darters were rare? Now 100 is standard and 9 darters are thrown for fun! I really have enjoyed fhe evolution of darts. It seems mad to look back at the top pro's throwing then taking a swig from a pint of beer and having a fag🤣🤣..Oh I WISH Sid Waddell was alive to see these players..The king of the one liners, best commentator to ever live...imagnie some of the things he would be saying..RIP SID..The darting world is in good hands 🙏

What a final.Incredible standed from both players.Probably the best searle has played for some time & would of won against nearly anyone else on that form.Just messed up a bit on his throw at the deciding leg with a couple of low scores.To think littler doesn't even practice that much & spends more time playing on the xbox lol.Phenomenal player!
