- Welcome to the preseason at Lake Clark Resort! We are on week 2 of shopping for our Resort, this time more family is in Anchorage helping!
You're going to see SNOW hit Port Alsworth...in MAY, the family banning together to shop until they DROP!, the freight getting here in Port Alsworth and us putting it away. The whole process!

Hi, my name is Salina and I live in a village in remote Alaska that shares my families last name. My great grandparents homesteaded here in the 1940s and now it's a thriving little town of nearly 200 people year around. My family owns and operates a summer resort right on the families homestead....your Alaskan vacation by Alaskans.

Thanks for sharing this video. It really shows the amount of work it takes to prepare to operate a resort in a remote part of Alaska. I enjoyed watching it.
Thank you for watching! It's a team effort, that's for sure!
So much shopping just to get ready!! That’s a LOT of work!! Thanks to your mom for filming!!
Its fascinating to see what goes on behind the scenes!
It's amazing to see how your family works together and it's great how your entire has such wonderful adventures.
The excitement of getting ready to open for the season, I just love it. Wow, so much shopping that has to be done. You all really have it together.
My goodness, so exciting. SNOW, oh no. Saying you have to literally fly everything in is one thing, but to SEE what that really means is amazing. And, how many people it takes to do it. These Spring ..getting ready..Videos have been some of my favorites!!😊
Mosquitoes? Our mosquitoes die when the temperature is uder about 15°C. 🤣 Love from South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤️
Love seeing the whole family getting things ready!
Oh my gosh. It is a LOT of work to start up. I bet the high food prices have put a dent in your shopping. 😊 Very intetesting shopping video. Hope you have a very successful season.
Thank you! That's the wild thing about food....you still gotta get it despite the price....gotta feed all the staff and visitors!
How many vehicles do you have in Anchorage
I loved your moms vlogging. Please ask her to start an ASMR
Channel 😍
Got to love what you do and I'm sure you appreciate your family's help.
I love this behind the scenes look at outfitting and operating a resort. It's always a massive amount of work, I am sure, even for a place you could access via vehicle..but when you throw in remote Alaska and having to fly everything in, it just triples the workload. Thanks for sharing your lives with us. I find it fascinating! Hoping for a stellar and safe season for you all!
Your mom did a great job of videoing. Thank you for sharing.
Wow what a haul for your Resort. Beautiful scenery. Have a great season.
It is mind boggling that everything, including lumber, has to be flown up to the resort. It makes sense, but those planes are small!
Really enjoy your mom vlogging
Beautiful Salina❤ I think Alaska is the most stunning place ever. ❤❤❤
Lots of work involved with the prep for opening! Your parents did a great job !
Love seeing your fsmily.wish you would introduce them individually. Even if it'd pictures
I started watching you a couple months ago. I don't know why but I'm so excited for you all to begin the summer season and activities. Thanks for sharing hon!
So much fun watching as you prepare to open for visitors. Id love to come and enjoy such a beautiful remote place. Greetings from North Mississippi.
I love this 😍 can’t wait for the lodge to open ❤️❤️
Wow lots of work in the beginning of the season, great season to you all.😂😂😂❤
Loving these season prep videos. I should have worked at some point in my life at a national park or resort as a logistics/inventory management person - this kind of work is exciting to me, although I know it is quite an undertaking. Looking forward to the next installment of watching a well-practiced system running at full speed! Take care and everyone stsy safe during all the hauling and prep work! ❤🏃🚐🛩🗻❤
Ball park what do they spend for opening up every season?? &30K, 40L. Your parents must be VERY organized w/their lists.

Wow that's a lot of work !
A very interesting vlog!
Watching from Wilmington Delaware the first state ❤️
You have to be so organised!
This was a great video! Thank you for sharing! 🤗
It’s definitely a lot of hard work to open the lodge for the season. I bet it is so nice when all the shopping and shipping is done. 😊
Nice video......😊
❤❤❤❤
1) Loved the vlog, really cool to see what goes on behind the scenes to get the resort ready for the season
2) I think mother nature is confused😅
Wow that is so much work!! Takes a village!! Kudos to you all!! That product is handle so much. What about fresh foods you need weekly!?
Wow what alot of work thank you for sharing hugs
Excited for your opening to happen! Enjoyed the Costco run
Hello 👋 from Arkansas 😊
Omg maybe one day i will be able to afford a trip there I'm so amazed
Do you still have to go back shopping through the season?
How exciting to be getting ready for the season! Nice to have all that help! How many people stay during a normal season?
It's amazing that you don't shop for it and get a airplane just for your stuff
I wonder how you know of how much you need for the summer? I guess it’s a running list of the past years ? Amazing..
Yes! They have been doing this for 20+ years, so they've complied a list of everything they need (plus look around and see what's new to see if it will also be a good fit for us too...not just food but supplies too)
Did name change from The Farm Lodge? (PS Hi to your parents!) 💓
Wow that is a lot of work. How many times do you need to return to Costco during the summer?
I was just wondering why you don't get the non-perishable stuff ( toilet paper, paper towls ) way before had so you don't have to get as much right beforehand?
The mosquitos are out when it’s so cold still? Eeek!
You have anything left over from last summer you can use?
We’re you able to get a new cook hired? I believe you said something about needing one last minute? Good luck❤
So interesting..... do you recycle the cardboard, cans, and the plastic? You would need to fly it back out, correct?
How many trips do you do a season?
How do you keep the mice out of everything?
😆 I was just going to ask the same thing! Mice get into everything !
Maybe mice hate Alaska and they have cats.
Do y'all stay in a hotel or does your family own a house in Anchorage? I don't think they come home every day. 🤔
How do you have mosquitos when there's still ice? I would have never thought you'd be bothered with them.
Salina, I have a question and forgive me if you’ve answered this before. You guys have planes, why do you have to pay for the air taxi? Can you not fly the goods yourselves?
Your mom has great taste in ramen. It is one of the best.
I have never had it before!
@@salinaalsworth_ak just a warning it is spicy. So if you don’t like spicy food I don’t recommend. But a way to turn the heat down is to put either cheddar cheese or mozzarella cheese on the ramen.
Another question - is using the air cheaper? I would think flying your own plane(s) to Anchorage would be less expensive.
I think it is technically their own plane…because it’s her grandpa flying it usually? I may be wrong but that’s what I thought.
Why do you need to do all the shopping at once? Are you not able to fly into Anchorage during the season?
I was wondering this too and also how much all of this costs!!
I would imagine that they are way too busy during the summer to go.
You said a girl. That is crazy!
Mom has an ancient
Is it the same people in the first and 2nd run ? Wearing different outfits, which would make one think that it’s different days,, not the same…even though the video stated 2nd run since 10 am.
Mom is still new to filming….for a few days she would start the video in her pocket and stop it when she ment to film so we lost a bunch of footage. All the videos of shopping are a condensed version of 2 weeks of nonstop, everyday shopping
Whoa that 4 way split screen with the writing was very difficult to watch way too many moving parts especially since they were all the same place … otherwise great video as always
Do I remember you saying that your mom was Russian? May I ask how your mom and dad met? (if that isn't being too nosy)
or own boat
to bad you guys dont have own plane so only had to load n fuel
❤❤❤
