Your daughter may have had the ballgame but you knocked it out of the park !!! I had started to buy some chalk paint then said forget it. I will definitely buy the paint and I will find something to paint. I love love love that chippy look. So beautifully done Julie !!🌼🌼
Love the milk paint candle holders but honestly believe you UNDER-priced them! It took a lot of steps to get to that final look. You’re the best Jules!
I think I would like them better with less paint chipped off but overall they are amazing! I would have never thought a bed frame could be turned into a candlestick. Your little girl is precious!❤️
I bought milk paint several months ago but never used it. I love how your candles turned out. But I think I still like chalk paint better. The milk paint appears to be thinner. At any rate you always make any thing you work with look fabulous! (I watch Jamie Ray too but prefer your channel. You are the best!!!)
My weekend is now complete! Another video from Julie! I got my paint sprayer from Harbor Freight and I have been spraying the heck out of my baskets. My daughter bought me the songbird mounds for Mother’s Day and I have had so much fun playing with them! Can’t wait for the crockery stamps to come back in stock-those are my favorite! Thanks for all you do Julie! Hope you lip is healing!
Love it all !! I am 75 and having a hard time trying all these things out, I want to do it all but don't have the "puff" to do it some times. Love your channel.
Julie you got a great score with those bed posts ! I’m always checking our local thrift when they throw furniture out. Awesome candle sticks , thank you! I LOVE using bed posts etc to create candles! Keep these creative diys coming !
Another fun video! Would love to find a chunky bedframe or table legs on my picking adventures so I could make a few. The way you styled them was awesome!
They turned out amazing! Sweet Pickins Milk Paint is such a fun paint to use! It all depends on the surface your painting on what type of effect your going to get. And yes...1st coat always looks scary!! 🙂🙂
Wow Julie! Again you do not disappoint. Love them all! Love that you used Hobby Lobby items too. It is ok to use some things already made to expedite a project. Love the versatility of it!! Well done👏
The 80's were full of Milk Paint. I use to buy it in little plastic milk cans, they were powder, and came in all sorts of colors. I use Milk paint already mixed and in gallon from General Finishes. I buy from Amazon. I highly recommend. A way prettier finish than Chalk Paint. Great Job Julie.
I absolutely love the chunky candle sticks you did an Amazing Job!!!!!! I have two big spindles out underneath my carport you definitely got my mind a running!!!! Have a blessed and beautiful day sweetie ♥️
"Illuminate your space with elegance without burning a hole in your pocket! Our candlesticks offer the same refined beauty as high-end options at a fraction of the cost. Light up your life affordably!"
Julie, those are so beautiful! I liked your method. I’ll definitely be watching out for some old spindles👍🏻! As always, much love and many blessings to you and your family!✝️♥️
Julie I'm so glad I watched you with this tutorial with these candlesticks with the coffee pot on I have three four five two little miniature coffee pots with the glass perkier on the top I'm going to do that with the flowers with maybe putting some Greenery in one and doing one like that cuz I have some post too I'm so glad to watch you today because I never thought about putting them on a post I've been making lamps out of them and they've not been selling really good I've been giving them to people that like them anyway keep up the good works I love watching you
I was really loving the first set that you just stained with the antiquing wax but the last chippy set stole my heart. Gorgeous! That Sweet Pickens is very popular right now. I'm definitely going to have to try it. 💖💜💖
You totally make me want to go and make so many things!!!! Love it all!!! I also love how you just jump in and are not afraid to make a mistake trying something different. It’s very refreshing to see someone just try something different and go with the flow however it turns out.
Haha "ya'll guys". At my sisters wedding, our family from LA came up to Washington and the grooms family came from New Jersey. The LA crowd said "ya'll"; us Washingtonians say "you guys"...and the New Jersey crowd said "youse" (the plural of you.) So we all started saying "ya'llguyyouse"! I love your "ya'llguys" .... and of course your work!
Milk paint is great to use. It does what it wants but you can add bond if you don't want the chipping. Use warm water to mix your paint it blends better x
I've never used milk paint. But ut i think I will try it. I like the crackle and chippyness. My poor husband...we are so different in our tastes. I love distressed stuff but he is chrome and glass. Makes life interesting!
I literally THOROUGHLY enjoy watching you make stuff and ESPECIALLY the way you explain what you're doing AND how easy you make it! I used to watch Jamie Ray a few years ago and I always loved the way she would talk about how she just kinda "slaps the paint on" the projects she's workin on! Lol. Yall don't try to make it seem all "technical" or whatever! I'm seriously #ADHD so if something has more than 2 or 3 steps to achieve a certain look, that look just ain't gonna be for me! Lol. {I have no patience for all that!} plus, I like the way you talk. Hehe I live in TEXAS and people are always commenting on the way I talk {which I feel like I just sound like everyone else, UNTIL someone repeats something I just said.} Lol. Anyhoozie, thanx for sharing! Hope you have a super sparkly day sweetie! XO from TEXAS! 🤠
Love the look of the milk paint onto the dark wood and chippy gloriously beautiful Hope your feeling better Julie get some much needed rest Love from Utah
‼️❤️ I love to watch you videos, your Entusiáciastic aptitude is contagious, I feel like I can do everything now that you showed how is done, thank you, I watch everyone of your videos, and I’ll keep waiting for the next ones
Love them Julie! Another great video! You are gaining more awesome subscribers! Keep up the great work and inspiration! Hugs for a hard working mama! You are loved!
You are so inspiring, because of you I just spent 300.00 on products from IOD, stamps transfers dry clay and an apron I’m so excited to use my new products I’ve been saving for awhile now to buy everything you use!
I love the waverly wax concoction that u showed us how ro use. I see other folks on youtube that are using ur idea as well. It really makes for the most natural woodstain look. Ive been doing it myself as well. For a while I couldnt find waverly but folk art deco antiquing wax works very well in a pinch if ya cant find waverly. You and jami ray vintage are my fav two gals on here. I just love ur work. Ur both amazing
I wish I had a saw! I like how you showed the candlesticks that didn't require sawing. I'm getting ready to replace my turned wood porch posts and I've thought about you and the amazing stuff you could do with those posts. I'd give them to you if I was closer! Maybe I can find someone to cut them for me because they would make great chunky candlesticks/risers.
Thanks julie I loved the large very chippy candle stick. I had no idea about spraying them first to get that effect. Will definitely be doing that!!! Thanks!!
I just did a little cabinet in Sweet Pickens milk paint. It turned out super chippy and I love it. I have been watching JRV on you tube for a few years. Jamie and her husband Zeb are awesome. Love your candle sticks.
Thanks Julie, hope to do what you do someday soon with a retail space. I appreciate all the step by step videos you are teaching me a lot! God bless!!!
Fabulous! I love all of your ideas. I am excited for you and your success! May it continue for years and thank you for sharing so we can possibly share in a bit of your success. ❤️ God bless!
Love the idea of the HL wound rounds for the tops! Not a huge fan of the chippy look, but like so many other styles it may grow on me. Yours of course are beautiful!
They all look great. Personally I prefer the chalk paint and distressed look to the chippy milk paint, but they are lovely. I’ll have to look for old beds.
Girl! When you said "pump the brakes" I started laughing 🤣🤣Been a while since I heard that. Such a cajun thing to say and I love it and love your bubbly personality!! Keep on keeping on girl 😀
You could turn anything into gold. Live your spirit and creative designs.
LOVE all the candleholders! Really Love the milk paint chippy , chippy!!👍😊💕

I wished we lived near each other so I could be your helper. Your work inspires my creativity, and I am so thankful for that.
I think I would like them better with less paint chipped off but overall they are amazing! I would have never thought a bed frame could be turned into a candlestick. Your little girl is precious!❤️

Love it all !! I am 75 and having a hard time trying all these things out, I want to do it all but don't have the "puff" to do it some times. Love your channel.
Love the antiquing wax on the tops of the candlesticks. The two tone look is perfect ❤️❤️❤️

Another fun video! Would love to find a chunky bedframe or table legs on my picking adventures so I could make a few. The way you styled them was awesome!
Love that you used milk paint. I keep hearing about it, but you showed how to do it and that was so satisfying and beautiful!
They turned out amazing! Sweet Pickins Milk Paint is such a fun paint to use! It all depends on the surface your painting on what type of effect your going to get. And yes...1st coat always looks scary!! 🙂🙂
The milk paint is a fun new experiment. I'm with you in that I prefer the less chippy, but what a great way to get the cool effect!
I love the chippy look on the candle sticks. 🥰🌸🌺
I thought the chippyness was perfect, it looks so natural, like they had been the elements a long time, love them!!!
Wow Julie! Again you do not disappoint. Love them all! Love that you used Hobby Lobby items too. It is ok to use some things already made to expedite a project. Love the versatility of it!! Well done👏
OBSESSED with the "dalmatian" candlesticks!
