If I'd never played this game, I'd be confused that 6 people could get caught up in a game for 10 hours, but I know this game somehow makes time go 3x faster.
How I imagine these games to go - after 10 hours: Player A: Father... Is it ... over? Player B: *getting advantage and stealing the win* At long last. No King rules forever, my son.

OK so who gave the Hacaan TWO support for the throne promissory cards?! Should've put them in a position where they were forced to attack. Incidentally I noticed the Ghost's flagship just hanging out on Mecatol with an undefended home system. With Lightwave deflectors someone could've just used the flagships delta wormhole and wiped out their home system!
BTw why you have given away so many supports? Hacan had 2, frogs (yssaril tribes) had 3. My group rarely gives support. It has to be really a game changer for someone. For example when ghosts of creuss are trying to vote for law to shutdown all wormholes (so only ghosts can use it).
So many things do not seem to add up during this. The Federation of Sol total at the end can't be correct. Where does the Hacan have 6 points from Public Objectives? It looks like he only has 5. And at 18:35 or so, how did the Ghost of Creuss move his ships from Mechatol Rex all the way to the Sol homeworld? His flagship and carrier have only 1 movement normally.
Yup. Weird move. Think I can see that Ghost palyer had Light/Wave deflector, along with his factional tech Wormhole Generator, though both wormhole tokens were on the board, the closest to Jord system was 2 away. With Grav Drive and Flank Speed, the Hil Colish can reach Jord, but then only those ships on Delta wormholes could join it (2:40 play time on vid). A ship or two join it from Creuss homeworld, but how the Carrier (lvl I) joins it from Mecatol Rex is beyond me. Did not see change to Action Card discard pile, so unsure about Flank Speed play. Edit: Ghost flagship would have had to go around Nebula, because it halts movement. So this is still stumping me.
Daniel Beauley I think I misplayed it. If I recall correctly, we played gravity drive as +1 to all movement, and I think I counted the +1 movement form the racial ability, so this was also probably a misplay.
Yeah, I definitely played it as +1 move from the flagship, so a total misplay. It didn't really ruin the experience for anyone, and we all had a great time, so it could've been worse. But yeah, a big error on my end! We actually realized the gravity drive only giving +1 to 1 ship last time we played, so that was an error on everyone's end.
We always take support for the throne out of the game. They're so huge and game altering. We played one game where everyone basically elected to have someone else win just to stop the person who was dominating from winning. After that we decided to take it out.
@@Owyn999 Well, it was basically. This one guy was about to win, so just to screw him over we elected someone else to win before he could score his final point. 4 cards going to someone else and making them win instantly is kinda.... BS imho
You guys seem to be forgetting that TI is a game about diplomacy as much as it is about war. Support for the throne is a very powerful tool to that effect, if you can get people to agree to support you, it makes your claim all the stronger, so it rewards cooperation. On the other hand if you spend the entire game dicking everyone over to get ahead yourself, you shouldn't be surprised they much rather gang up on you and help someone else to take you down a peg.

My group is just petty as hell and we thought it would be messed up to steal the win from him. That is the only way Support the Throne has been used in our games, kingmaking.
We weren't aware of the impact, and was giving them away for almost nothing round 1 and 2 xD Rest assured, the next time we played only 2 got distributed, and it was late game xD

This is the fourth edition. It doesn't have that rule.

Bit late but I think he meant total objectives scored. So he probably had 2 of the secret objectives scored already but one still in his hand.
Also, if he scored 7 public objectives, that's 9 points by itself, at least. Only 5 stage 1's

Very nice video. However, you should keep the scored secret objective cards in players' areas so as to avoid potential confusion.
We actually like them in a more central display to make it obvious how you are doing and how many more you can complete etc :)

James Krolak Hacan pulled a 2 point public objective at the very end, so that might be it? It's in there very short in the end
Holy cow. If Gravity Drive gave +1 movement to all ships, then that would make it the best tech in the game. And as it is, it's one of the best.
