One thing you didn't touch on but I think is worth exploring is how crypto in general talks about "trustless", meaning that you don't have to trust your counterparty in order to transact with them, citing the fact that our society has a breakdown in trust, which is true, but I would rather restore trust then just say "trust is gone, let's figure out how to deal with it".
I've just found your channel now. What a good project! Can you guys do more videos about bitcoin and the state of virtual realities?(metaverse etc). Also, any engagement with John Milbank would be appreciated.
Not sure if they are even reading the comments, I commented half a year ago, no reaction or implementation of it. Part of content-creation is engaging with the community to grow the Channel. Seeing that their views are barely growing is proof of this I guess. Sad thing as I think they have great insights and valuable lessons to share from a Catholic perspective.
Mark, Sorry we didn't respond. We do read comments, but some get missed or lost in hand-offs to the folks who are better qualified to answer. Please keep watching and commenting, and we'll be better about responding.
Your content is thought provoking, any way to get some time stamps or "shorts" on some of your videos? Still working myself through your videos, but thanks for providing these! I think you miss some key aspect of its value, ie that it is the most secure and to this date practically unhackable network, which is fundamental for transparency and decentralization, also the networkeffect that it has a firstmover. It seems that you have a decent understanding of how a just economic system should work and therefore rightfully criticize bitcoin, but it also seems that you see the benefit of the blockchain technology - so I would be very interested in how you would implement this technology, so that a just financial system can be created, furthering the common good, this especially because there is now the possibility to "create your own blockchain". PS: Looking at the comments below... there are some apps out there that can automatically delete spam, might give it a shot.
The 21 million supply cap is not set in stone. It’s encoded in the code and the code is maintained and regularly updated by humans. The only thing stopping the developers today from inflating the supply is the politics/consensus of the Bitcoiners, there is no physical obstacle to changing the supply limit or removing it altogether. In this respect, "Bitcoin Billionaires" *can* inflate the money. Just watch all the political maneuvering that will start happening when the block reward drops to 0...
Whether Bitcoin is good or not, Bukele has been the best thing to ever happen to the small country of El Salvador. Only a few years ago El Salvador was the murder capital of the world. He has cleaned it up and seems to understand the dynamic of politics being from Palestinian descent ifykyk.

Season 2 of Good Money is being planned. We're hoping to have guests. Sorry for the slow response.

Have you guys talked about MMT?
Bitcoin is a good coin! We did a friendly rebuttal video on our channel since New Polity got the conversation started.
