I don't think I could ever get tired of these Cameron Campaigns, CamCams for short; set in the Alien Universe. Would love to see more CamCams in space using this or any other game system
"Next time, the concluding episode" (Alex's face of shock) To be fair, I'm sure he knew how long this series would be, and I knew next episode would be the last because Cameron's about to get to the end of his Fisher King story. XD Once again my annoyingly encyclopedic knowledge of mythology comes into affect.
Some synths were clearly designed with emotion while others were not. And the way that emotion is processed here is fascinating. I wonder if any of them process their programming as an addiction. You do not like what you are addicted to, but you have a physiological need to consume it that cannot be ignnored. Granted, the central programmed goals are a full burnout level of addiction only fixable by forcible detox.
I love the character exploration of Grey, Finch, & Gidget. Just sitting in the crawler, as the hours and kilometers tick by, their diagnostic systems advance to running checks on their mental state.
Yet another great session peeps. Cori you played your character so well nearly error 404. Yet again here to engage. Now onto watch the vod from last night. Can't wait. Thanks again cam for running this, great story. Regards. Ps had to edit as I needed to spell cori's name right, my bad.
I've really enjoyed this campaign. First time watching Dice Friends, I tend to prefer LRR sketches. Between this and Road Quest, they've really drawn me in to the longer vids.
I kinda want to know what the personal directives the players had was, before it was overwritten with "bring me the thing". Hope it comes up if/when they do the post-game review.
Cant remember where it was said in the early episodes. But they are suppose to follow Asimov's 3 laws First Law A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. Second Law A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. Third Law A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
@@zacharymedeiros2713 at the end of session 1/start of 2, I'm pretty sure the cryopod dude gave them each a new command that was higher priority than all of those, and at the start of this episode they got a new new highest law. So the order is: First: bring me the progenitor Second: mystery personal agenda Third: protect people Fourth: follow orders Fifth: protect yourself
I cant tell if alex is having issues morally or if its really what his character would do, i know some sythns would have emotions however their directive would over ride that i would imagine and his incredible need to keep trying to save these people instead of doing his directive just seems misplayed to me. Its fine to have emotions but it felt like he was trying to push it in my opinion.
I took it as balancing their directives. Like, the new directive is the dominant one, but protecting humans is still on the list, just further down. It's debatable how much they could help the colonists without jeopardizing their primary objective, but that's how I took it.
This seems like such a weird setting for a pen and paper RPG. Like in terms of the way that as players you essentially have to pretend to have not seen the movies.
To a point I agree, but I think it's a matter emphasizing the "RP" part over the "G". The goal is not to win, it's to collaborate on an interesting story, even if that story doesn't necessarily have a happy ending.

I'm here for Finch 100% the secret cassette collectables quest. I totally missed the Chopin in the crawler my first time through.
Might as well give this a thumbs up right away, cause I know I’m going to love this 🤍
These Alien RPGs have been great. Can’t wait to see how this one ends. 🤞 for a trilogy.
I greatly enjoy Finch’s development. Hello, algorithm.
35:35 - A literal "I have to go, my people need me" moment in the wild!

Alex's excitement is absolutely infectious.
This is really fascinating to watch these sorts of sci-fi questions play out in a collaborative roleplaying setting
Wow, Cam really turned the screws in the first half

I have engaged. Y'know for the algorithm and stuff.
I'd forgotten Brad Dourif was actually in the Alien franchise until I rewatched Resurrection last week.
Best thing about Alien: Resurrection was discovering Delicatessen and The City of Lost Children with friends the week before the film. :D
This stuff is so good!
Good old weekly alien fix, always a nice time
Fantastic! Can't wait for the final session!

Engage the engagement for the algorithm! Engaged sir!
god i really love these alien campaigns... I really want to see cameron do more space horror, not limited to Alien though
With the whole discussion of Finch's audio playback, I was half-expecting someone to plug the cassette into his back like a Teddy Ruxpin.
This campaign is so cool.
36:08 carver really just died of shock eh
Love this soo much
Algorithtastic
Love ya lrr!
"dont trust them ther're bluffing" BOOOO Alex BOOOOOOOOOO LOL
